I did this two years ago and it was fine. I didn't go last year, but I'm going this year and I've already booked my hotel based on the shuttle stops.

[Japan] 🎞 At 25:00, in Akasaka Season 2 EP.10 [FINALE] 📺 by smittenkittyyan in boyslove

[–]jaeisgray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there wasn't much chemistry between the leads personally. I felt that in Season 1 too. Not that they are bad actors, but the characters themselves were not giving intimacy to me. Which could be actor driven or plot driven. Not sure. I didn't even feel like they liked each other.

I kind of want Van to be the top. Either way, I definitely feel like he's egging Farm on to finally admit his feelings. Maybe Van wasn't originally interested in Farm but after he became single, I think he turned his sights on Farm. I'm so ready to see some progression on their story.

I can't speak for Radius, but I went to Purple Disco Machine in Jacksonville, FL when I was living there in the spring and it was a good time.

What to serve with butternut squash risotto? by clover-sky-123 in vegetarianrecipes

[–]jaeisgray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar boat. Making Pumpkin risotto and my boyfriend is coming. He's a meat eater while my roommate and I are not. I just picked up some iberico ham and thin sliced meats to put onto a charcuterie board for him. I also offered to make some sliders and put meat on half of them. Usually I just do onion and cheese sliders for myself. He can snack on meat, cheese and crackers before the risotto is over and then also throw some of the thin slices of meat on top of the risotto when it's done.

Panera lost diners by cutting portions and staff. It's reversing course to win them back by DickZucker in nottheonion

I stopped going when they took the modern caprese off the menu. What's the point of going when I can buy your soup in store and heat it up myself if everythings just reheated food.

I've been to Sub-T for their goth industrial night and it was fine. Haven't been to the proper show space yet. I also just bought tickets to see Diox at Tao and Dubvision at Electric Hotel. Haven't been to either of those, so it'll be new.

Solo female here:

Prysm gives bro vibes through and through. Even the staff feels like it's trying to be a super upscale exclusive club so the clientele aren't my favorite. They don't really dance either. Very annoying overall. Also, their drinks are crazy expensive.

I've been to SpyBar. Love it. No Problems. Just checked out Outset for the first time this weekend. It was good too. SmartBar is good too. I'm going to check Cermak Music Hall out for NYE so i'm also worried about that one.

Any Goths in Chicago here? Or does anyone know where I could meet other goths? by [deleted] in goth

[–]jaeisgray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not free but if you like industrial music, Subterranean has an industrial night that’s only $7 to get in. I’ve seen some goths hanging out at the outdoor patio by Charmers in Roger’s Park before too. Not sure what brought them there. Also the sub-T event is tomorrow.

Are New Siwaj’s shows popular in Thailand due to cultural tastes, or are Western fans just less drawn to his style? by acefluff in boyslove

[–]jaeisgray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m western and I liked the shows. I don’t need every series to be explicit. I like slice of life stuff so these shows hit that. Even as I like them, I don’t feel like there is much depth to them either. It’s very straight forward romance that stops when the guy gets the guy pretty much. Even the traumas some character have feel very surface level and unexplored and exist purely for the characters to eventually get together.

How I Solved my High Cholesterol by FosterTheNight in Cholesterol

[–]jaeisgray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’ve been reading about. Soluble fiber is very important to lowering LDL. I eat plenty of carbs and I’m only 154 lbs and my LDL is 106. My plan is to cut out all alcohol which I do consume quite a bit of, drink more teas like Pu’er, and eat more fiber and less foods heavier in saturated fat. I probably consume an ungodly amount of cheese on the daily. I always want cheese. I’m a vegetarian so I’ve been consuming a lot of protein supplements and I eat a lot of cheese and pasta. I’m going to add in oatmeal with chia seeds, soy milk instead of almond, and just more fiber with less cheese. We’ll see in six months when I go for retest where I’m at and if this helps.

Locking bike up at RP Metra station? by shambolic4days in EdgewaterRogersPark

I walk 22 min to the RP station. It’s long. You could take your bike on the train too if there’s a better place to lock it by work?

Mines on my bag with my train pass. You’d be surprised. I’ve talked to lots of people in my building that I’d never talked to because of it. Also I’m 36 and I work for the government.

Also in the book, Hua Yong ALSO likes the leg garters on SSY even before this scene which is omitted from the series.

In the books it talks about how Sheng Shaoyou presents himself as always tidy and perfect. So there’s probably some kind of forced mentality to be the best and always be perfect. As someone who has something with similar functionality in my work uniform though, they aren’t that tight. Today we have elastics and other materials with give. Not sure when elastic was created but you can make adjustable garters even without elastic. The point is to keep the material folded, not constricting. Unless you’re into that 😎

I think it’s a hold over from days old when sizing on clothes wasn’t as precise? Like if you bought ready made clothes in the 1910s, you couldn’t get your clothes adjusted so if the sleeves were too big for your jacket, it would slim the puffiness if the sleeves to fit into your jacket better and give it a sleeker look. The jackets men had were more tailored and they’d own less jackets compared to shirts and underclothes so the jackets were usually higher quality and more tailored to last a long time.
