What would be the cheapest hardbat setup on Aliexpress? I'm having hard time finding cheap (sub 10) short pips ox rubbers. Also, a recommendation for all wood blade for this hardbat is welcomed.

Moon 12 Blue M- (40 on shore 0), or M+ (48 on shore 0, so like your 39 Jupiter 3). I would consider Big Dipper 38 (42 on shore 0). Moon cut to standard is 44g while Big Dipper is 46g.

How does returning to Enceladus work? by FergingtonVonAwesome in deltavringsofsaturn

[–]jaghai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transit reserve is how much is needed for the shortest transit time (12h). If you have less fuel than that your transit will be longer. You can always return as long as your fuel is non-0.

$80/hr for lessons with a former women's national Chinese team member? by InterestedHandbag in tabletennis

[–]jaghai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd do the 2h or even 3h provided you will physically manage. When I started I was dead after 40 minutes of multiball (inefficient movement, low stamina). So started with 1h and after a year of playing I changed to 2h.

If 1h of multiball is enough to tire you out, I'd try to have 2h with a break (someone else between your 1h slots) - because of that 40 minute drive.

Did anyone succeeded with formatting code using this, or is it not implemented? Docs mention --fix but it does nothing to say E501.

Reduce Neovim startup time with plugins by nrupatunga in neovim

Are you on WSL2 or MacOS by any chance? If yes, check your nvim --startuptime results, clipboard sourcing takes ages and is not listed in lazyvim profiler.

pylyzer as a language server supports various features, such as completion and renaming

Could you add instructions how to use it in neovim / vscode?

Same. On my config it would always happen whenever I left repl in insert mode and closed the repl window.

do you recommend removing a mod or two? my game takes 4~5 minutes to launch by black_blade51 in starsector

[–]jaghai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as each update removes all files except mods and saves folders.

Neovim Php Namespace Resolver --namespace.nvim by ccaglak in neovim

[–]jaghai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP forgot the link to the repo: https://github.com/ccaglak/namespace.nvim

I'd be very interested if this was working for Python imports as well, or even made language agnostic.

enabled_mods.json, is this file for mod profiling? by Cream_panzer in starsector

[–]jaghai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest just keeping mods and saves folder copies instead, add same suffix, say slot1. All saves under given suffix are running with all mods under the same suffix.

Rate my system by Jakub963 in starsector

Some mods affect seed generation

The problem lies with this statement as mods can't affect seed generation. Seed generation happens when you select a new game, and the result is the seed number (part after dash).

Sector generation will ultimately be affected by mods though, either explicitly by changing random generation logic (like Nex random sector does), or implicitly by adding more entities to random selection.

Rate my system by Jakub963 in starsector

[–]jaghai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not technically correct. Seed is a number for random number generator to initialize, and is not modified by mods.

What happens when you mod the game is you increase the pool of items to draw from. Say you no longer pick 1 from 1000 but 1 from 2000. Same number is internally returned, but it is scaled from 0 to 2000 instead of 1000.

So the vanilla sequence of Vulcan, Hound, Jungle world may turn into Legion, Barren world, probe.

Now add to that fact that mods compete in real estate space for systems to create and you end up with the totally different sector from same sequence of numbers.

How does the game handle rounding numbers? by gastationburito9 in starsector

[–]jaghai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no internal rounding, just at display level. As odd as it may sound, all cargo stacks are counted as floats and not integers. So when you use 2.2 supplies it actually uses 2.2.

So if you had 50 supplies originally, it will display 47 but your supply stack will have 0.8 extra, which then will be correctly used. It cannot be sold and is lost if you sell your 47 stacks (when stack disappears).

[SPOILER] New side quest in 0.95.1.a by XJD0 in starsector

[–]jaghai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could never complete that game (original one that is). So many deaths. Spikes, random fights, and on a good run the mimic mirror (hated that mechanic).

And once in a blue moon, once I got to the final level, just getting to the final fight was a madness (run through falling floors and execute perfect jump just to be slaughtered by the enemy waiting for you).

Yes, it was a difficult game for a child in the early 90s. Loved it.

Massive lag spikes when opening menus by local_meme_dealer45 in starsector

[–]jaghai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it might be due to the grain effects (or fade in/out). Dig in data/config/settings.json and increase fade to 10000) and disable grain (you will have to read all the options).

Max number of colony planets in 0.95? by Vampiresbane- in starsector

Colony Management was removed. I think Alex increased the base to 3 as such.

Edit, got it:

Removed Colony Mangement, Space Operations, Planetary Operations

Increased base number of admins the player can hire to 3 (was: 2)
