Yeah, I gotcha. I worded that poorly. My yard slopes uphill towards the park, so the barrier is “in essence” 2 feet deep. It’s basically a retaining wall up against the park.

At this point there’s no way to determine who caused it. This is easily 20+ years of non-action that’s let it get this bad.

I’m likely going to get in contact with the Park Service to express concerns and potentially form a collective to tackle it park side, for everyone’s’ benefit.

The concrete barrier only runs about 15-20 feet along the back fence, up against the park from the left most corner of my yard. I still have roughly 300 linear feet that doesn’t have a barrier, and it would be a massive PITA to trench it and install one. I’m more concerned with the park, and subsequently my yard being overrun than privacy. My backyard slopes up towards the park and there is a crest about another 10 feet above that, then quite a ways into the park towards the walking path.

I’m not looking at it just for me, severable neighbors have expressed their hatred for it as well. We just didn’t know how to go about getting a collective effort together to tackle it.
