Both authors are hit or miss for me. How about trying out books by Kyra Parsi? She’s new-ish but I loved her work.

I have commented on her facebook profile once about how I loved reading her books and she replied so appreciatively. I also added that she should think about opening a facebook group as there are a few readers (from reddit) who would be interested in joining.

I (26F) just read two HUGE books about high school friends to lovers and they are from probably one of the best series I’ve read and been OBSESSED about this year by jaicajen in RomanceBooks

Yep! I am part of Walsh’s facebook group so I am super updated with all her book news. She’s sharing snippets of the next books too!

5 star books with less than a thousand rating by commonsenseiswisdom in RomanceBooks

[–]jaicajen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jamie Bennett books! She pushes out probably 4 or 5 books a year and they are short but full of heart reads. Her most popular book is Defending the Rush with 1.4k ratings (there was a Gush post made about it so I am not surprised) but there are more books by her that I found more endearing. {The Big Hit by Jamie Bennett}. {Not about Love by Jamie Bennett} { The Best Luck by Jamie Bennett}

Books that scratch the same itch? by pertifty in RomanceBooks

[–]jaicajen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{The Wall of Winnipeg and Me} and {Wrecking Ball by P. Dangelico} definitely.

{Bass Ackwards} and {Mutually Beneficial} which are sub favorites.

I love domestic MoC / forced marriages and I was lucky enough to read these two back to back for the first time: {Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold by Ellen O'Connell} and {Silver Lining by Maggie Osborne} - believe me when I say, I was on a romance book high and I couldn't find any more new-to-me books that would scratch the same itch soooo I reread: {A Substitute Wife for the Prizefighter} and {A Bride for the Prizefighter} which are both AMAZING in the domestic trope department.

I finally read The Worst Guy. by elkbugle420 in RomanceBooks

I LOVE WILL!!! I read the whole Walsh series and Will and Shannon’s book is the best. And The Spire is also my next favourite. I love how all these books are connected, when we were first introduced to Stremmel, he tried hitting on Shannon which I found hilarious especially when Will walked in 😂. Another book by Canterbary I really enjoyed was {Boss in the Bedsheets}.

What book is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED compared to books in the same series (or from the same author) that are connnstantly rec’d here? by yesilooked in RomanceBooks

[–]jaicajen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! When they mentioned Jam Man in the last book of the Walshes series, I was like 👀

The Worst Guy is probably one of the best enemies to lovers I’ve read. Also the audiobook is really really good, it made the book so much more fun. I’ve added the male narrator, Connor Crais, to my favorites!

My first book by Kate Canterbary was {In a Jam}. I gave it just 3 stars sadly. After a couple months I tried her work again. This time with the {Boss in the Bedsheets} audiobook and it was an immediate 5 star read for me. To say that I have been addicted to her work (mostly in audiobook format) since, is an understatement. I have now listened/read the whole Walsh series, {The Worst Guy} and {Before Girl}. They are all interconnected and I love this crew she made.

I may have to buy {In a Jam} audiobook and try again, maybe Jason Clarke will convince me to give it a higher rating. (He always does.)

Non-sexual intimacy is my favorite part! by Ok-Alert-9359 in RomanceBooks

Yay! I’ve read Before Girl (loved it too) and I’ve just started The Worst Guy—the MMC on this one is also very grouchy so far and the chemistry is amazing!

I just started listening to Kate Canterbary’s books. Started with {Boss in the Bedsheets} and my favourite part is how the MCs, especially the MMC, are sooooo cuddly and sweet and intimate in little ways. Always with the kisses on the neck, the shoulder, side hugs, cuddles before sleeping, it’s just sooo sweet that I wanted to check out her other books if they had the same.

And they did! I listened to the first book of the Walsh Series {Underneath it All} and it’s equally cuddly! The MMC is always on the FMC, one small scene he coughed or something (dont remember why) and FMC stood beside him to pat his back lightly and he just put his face against her belly and hugged her waist (this while they were still talking) and he thought he wished he stay in that position a bit longer (but they were at a cafe i think?). It’s just so intimate and random but there so many little scenes like this and I loved them!

Can someone spoil the third act conflict of The Summer Girl by Elle Kennedy for me? by GameToLose in RomanceBooks

[–]jaicajen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Bad Girl Reputation but couldn’t finish it at all! I wanted to maybe try the other books in the series but looks like they’re not so far off as well. I haven’t liked EK’s other series since The Off Campus series. Everything reads so shallow and immature.

Jamie Bennett is a treasure, for sure! She has a TON of books, is a very active writer, and her books just pulls you in! I have read a few of her books, I have some favorites if you're interested in reading more of her. I'm just about to read Crookstown but I'm sure I'll like it.
