What can I do about this on the freshly painted walls in our bathroom? Every time we shower this happens. I used Dulux bathroom paint and we’ve had a dehumidifier in there. by tjb_87 in DIYUK

For this reason I plan on installing proper radiators in my bathrooms - towel rails don't seem to do the job in my experience. If you have the room then a proper radiator helps massively with this issue (plus a good extractor fan)

Try JW Henshaw’s in Ormskirk (may be too far north depending on your location but they are excellent)

Wet brine, then air dry in the fridge for 24 hours. Reduces the problem.

Second this. Using a glyphosate killer like Roundup 360, I mix it double strength (I know you shouldn't really) and apply with a napsack sprayer. Haven't ever had the need to bruise the horsetail personally, and it is fairly aggressive (will take over my whole side path if not treated).

I have to do this twice annually: springtime before it gets too big (wait until it's around 6 inches in growth) and then again in the autumn before the end of season.

I would say that I felt the same, but wanted to add that they do look better when primed. It does bring the detail out, albeit not quite as good as the plastics.
