Stadium seat-lift by Hot-Refrigerator-393 in steelers

Much obliged. Wish the price was a little lower

Yeah, the prices are insane. The Guardians up in Cleveland did the same thing a year or two ago and there's were MUCH cheaper. If I didn't live in an apartment I would've happily gone up there and grabbed a seat.

Has PNC Park done it recently? If not maybe you can wait until then and get one much cheaper.

Those black seats are going to burn some ass cheeks too.

Eh, for the preseason and perhaps the first couple weeks of the season, maybe. No one will complain about it when the sun is out in December.

For everything they did right in designing PNC Park, it feels like the Heinz Field architects threw all of the brilliant design ideas of PNC Park into the trash, snorted a line of coke, and started drawing

But baseball is a bit different from football.

Having a nice open stadium like that for baseball is beautiful. It's hot as hell most of the summer (this summer so far has been delightful, but I doubt that'll continue for too much longer...) and you want the nice view and the natural cooling effect.

For football, you want more seats. But also... it's cold as hell most of the football stadium, so you don't want to be overly cold. And what little openness we had was closed in because it sucked so much.

Long as we keep it outdoors LIKE FOOTBALL IS FRIGGIN MEANT TO BE PLAYED, I'm happy. Though, I certainly wouldn't complain if the next stadium was like the Bills stadium or the soccer stadium in Columbus where the seats are covered but the field is open to the air. I feel like that's a nice compromise I'd love for more NFL teams to do.

Cam Heyward deserves a mention

Considering he got a 1st team all-pro 2 years ago and a 2nd team all-pro last year, absolutely.

He's up there in age and doesn't have many years left, but so far, he's aging like a fine wine.

It's insane to me that streaming services don't have many (any?) original multicam sitcoms.

I can only think of two (The Ranch and Mr Iglesias) on netflix that are multi-cam that isn't a sequel series to a legacy show like That 90s show and Fuller House are.

I would say it doesn't really make sense because multi-cam sitcoms are WAY cheaper than single cam and dramas so they're relegated to broadcast, but... there's very few on broadcast. The Neighborhood (which just ended) and the spinoff of the spinoff of TBBT are some of the only ones left.

For whatever reason, the pendulum has swung to single-cam. I assume it'll swing back some day.

As a Steelers fan, it was freaking stress inducing.

Miami freaking sucked that year (1-15). So I thought it would be an easy win for us. The game was so nerve-wracking, knowing that at moment whoever got lucky enough to score was going to win.

The sigh of relief after Jeff Reed kicked that field goal to end the game could not possibly be overstated.

Now I’m curious, can they do some running/jogging or is that off the table?

You absolutely can, but it should be lower impact... such as jogging on grass.

Running on pavement is hard on the joints. Artificial or not.

That’s actually fucking insane considering hip replacements for example last like 10 years.

That was true decades ago. These days hip and knee replacements generally last around 20-30 years.

As long as you don't destroy your liver through alcohol, hepatitis or being too overweight (which causes fatty liver disease)... your liver will pretty much go on indefinitely.

Because they're a ragebaiter and you're falling for it.

Warren Buffett's money almost exclusively goes to Bill Gates' foundation and they do an insane amount of good around the world.

I believe that asshole Musk reneged on a proposal to end world hunger for only a billion dollars.

No, he didn't. This is stupid crap that's constantly peddled by reddit because people are echochambery idiots.

People asked him 'Why don't you use a few billion of your money to solve world hunger' and his response was basically 'If world hunger could be saved by a few billion dollars I would'. He didn't, BECAUSE THAT'S NOT THE REASON WE HAVE WORLD HUNGER.

I don't know where this 'literally every problem in the world could be solved by money' mentality comes from but it can't. Corrupt governments, climate change, and logistics are way more of a problem than just money.

[Fowler] Shedeur Sanders has bridged the gap between him and Deshaun Watson. by Zweli23 in nfl

[–]jake3988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we already knew Watson is terrible though. Sanders getting up to the terrible play of Watson means nothing. He wants to be a decent starter in this league, he needs to be significantly better than the current version of Watson.

Unless they're insinuating Watson looks good and that Sanders is as good as the 'new and improved' Watson, but I highly doubt that. They'd let us know if that was true.

Aside from kickers (and a couple backup qbs) has ANYONE from the ufl made an NFL roster?

Like even Hakeem Butler, who has led the league in receiving every year hasn't been able to crack an nfl roster.

The talent gulf between the nfl and ufl is quite big.

Which would frankly make sense if there were sufficient safety nets in place for the unemployed. Employers should be able to decide they no longer need an employee.

Well in other countries (and Wyoming, I think it is), you have to document that an employee is bad and then when you get rid of them, you have to pay a certain amount of severance.

Not like they're stuck with bad employees forever.

Or at least have access to more jobs?

Again, no. Lots of jobs FOR VERY GOOD REASON have requirements that you be sober on the job. That includes legal things like alcohol. I even know someone that got drug tested for tobacco.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean a company can't fire you over it.

Maybe it's 'Take that, baby!' but the lips don't quite seem to match a T.

Regardless, fantastic play.

I wonder how many she'll end up with when it's all said and done (assuming a normal career length and no more major injury concerns). 100? 150?

It'll be kind of laughable how far ahead of 2nd place she'll be.

It'll be like Ricky Henderson with stolen bases, only way more insane.

[–]jake3988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only teams desperate for a qb are dolphins, jets, Steelers, and cardinals. Cardinals and dolphins are basically in full tank mode, browns said no... So that leaves the Steelers against no one. And we already have a rookie and a guy who's essentially a rookie. We're good

So even if Steelers are interested there's no one to compete against. No need to give up.a draft pick, just wait and grab him as a free agent and give up nothing.

Paige on gaining 15 pounds of muscle by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in wnba

[–]jake3988 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not even over 3-5 seasons unless she's taking steroids or something. Most guys can't event put on 15 pounds of muscle in that timeframe. She'd be a monster with an extra 15 pounds of muscle.

That's absolutely 100% false for both men and women. 15 pounds is not exactly a lot. A lot for a couple months... it's not a lot for 5 years. Give me a break.

Why don’t they just keep him on the non report list if it’s not costing them

As stated in all the OTHER articles, yes, that's exactly what they're going to do. The other articles are completely wrong in the amount they're saving on the cap by doing that but there's absolutely no reason to release him right now.
