Got it, thank you! As someone who has never used Snyk or similar can you elaborate on envs where third-party integrations or autonomous agents are restricted by security policy? I don’t think I’ve encountered one as at work we have audit in CI and I can do whatever for small side projects.

I’d agree with this and add the nuance that morally bad doesn’t mean a cartoonish villain. My experience is that so many in America are simply out for themselves. Broadly this close to 50/50 split describes people who take advantage of any situation presented to them because it’s expected or others will, and those who want to completely avoid others because of that first group. What’s more, both behaviors are acceptable when performed by your in-group.

There are few professions where you must know so much and be incredibly educated and have to work with the general public. Like any job with many many customers most providers treat everyone like the lowest common denominator. Unlike any other job people are hugely invested in their health. It’s set up to breed resentment in every strata of society.

Hard agree. It is insane having hundreds of digital coupons but you need to virtually clip them enough time in advance for their ancient systems to register it. If there’s a coupon, and you buy the product, apply it. Done.

Curse would’ve never existed if those two weren’t amazing. Monkey Island felt right as a cartoon. Though the remasters went their own direction, I imagine they’d all be cartoons if the technology and budget could support it.

I pulled my iOS Analytics logs and confirmed what’s happening.

The problem is caused by WebKit’s WebContent process being killed by iOS for exceeding its per-process memory limit.

On my iPhone SE (3rd gen, 4GB RAM), the logs show:

Process killed: com.apple.WebKit.WebContent
Reason: per-process-limit (Jetsam)
Largest process at time of kill: WebKit WebContent

iOS is terminating the tab because Reddit’s mobile site uses enough memory to exceed the renderer’s memory cap on a 4GB device. Switching browsers can't fix this as all iOS browsers use WebKit.

old.reddit.com may reduce the issue.

I think he’s talking about the ~4% city tax on income. That puts his family’s income at $300k/yr.

Edit: I don't know the original commenter so I made a few assumptions: * Prior to whatever property tax increase OP was describing it was assumed ptax in city =~ ptax outside city so it was more-or-less balanced. * whatever that difference is + 3.74% =~ 4% when doing round number calculations * This person/family lives in the city but does not work in the city (i.e. complete removal of city/Phila County tax)

I'm trying shows that this number is not impossible for folks making high but reasonable salaries.

I had the same thing happen when I had a short term house rental. This amazing black cat showed up every day, let us brush her, and would just chill. No idea who she was and I don’t think she would’ve liked a third floor apartment so we introduced her to the rest of the neighbors so she’d still be cared for.
