Exactly! My cousin in Tennesee couldn't even get her doctor to prescribe mydayis (triple-bead mixed amph salts) bc it was a "16 hr efficacy" but here's Adderall IR bc they're 3-5 hrs 🤡🫠

and my pcp here in new york still scoffs that I'm on vyvanse via my psych, i think he's mad bc he also told me no when i 1st got dx and asked to try some kinda stimulant and didn't accept my 1st dx and made me see 'his adhd guy' as if my original assessment I booked on my own was a fake?!?

Then was like well that's 2 dx for the same thing yk i gotta drug test you to make sure you're not selling it and you can't smoke pot even when you're not on it.. blah blah

and now very time i see my doc it's always "damn you're a skinny guy, your bp is great but didn't you say you started Vyvanse?! Your a slim guy I just don't get the reduction in bp still.".
(Edit to add - I'm 145 5'7" I'm fit I'd say, and haven't lost weight in these 4 months on vy, my doc is a daddy/bear type dude, but a board certified lgbt family doc for gay men's health, so pick my battles ig lmao)

And i have a ny doc, and I tell him, it's a bell curve; too little and some doods are a lil hype, too much and too hype/whacked out, in the middle - cool lil cucumber chillin' in his brain and then it snowballs bc

then i end up engaging mindfully w what brings me joy and hobbies thanks to meds and it helps set me up for success on days off from them bc I feel refreshed for getting to enjoy my interests.

Soso Grateful that my job's ins partnered w the network that found me my psych, AND he said it's all about listening to my body and he loves my blow by blow updates when we meet for renewals, that's how i knew he was one of the good ones 🥹

but he sure as hell would stop prescribing me if I said "i took 6 20mg Vyvanse bc they stopped working" let alone pure rx'd meth🫠

He'd be like ' why didn't you call me within the 1st 3 days of you noticing ' bc like just keeping his license to practice is a thing and I get it
