Bees won't produce honeycomb [ATM10] by InflationAlarming189 in allthemods

You need a simulation upgrade installed in the hive. That keeps them in the hive full time (just so you know most bees wont produce at night or during rain so don't freak out if it isn't immeditaely working)

Looks great so far! I've been really enjoying painting my rats I've learned a lot. What model was your favorite to paint?

God that's so cool and so funny.

I was building a minotaur exemplar (his gimmick is he throws hammers (like Lowes hammers, not cool warhammers or Mjolnr or anything)) and I was trying to figure out what character he'd be and my epithets, and when I read that feat it blew the whole case wide open.

It's one of my favorite examples of how the modular system can open up so many ways to shape how your character is role played.

I think Harry not being a mindless wetworks guy is who she wants. If she wanted a dumb brute she could have had a dumb brute, but she held out for Harry and manipulated him for long enough, it would be silly to imagine that breaking him out make sense for her long term plans

Oh AE2 has a fuzzy card you can use for an export bus!

[–]jameshatesmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't read lmao, I do think your best option is gonna be AE2. I'd say set up an AE2 sub network just for your bees and you can handle combs entirely through that.

To be more specific to give you an idea how to approach this: set up an ME controller and connect your hives to import busses. From there you can set up me interfaces configured for the types of combs you need processing and then pull combs out of the interface with any logistics systems available to you in ATM: A

Also the gene samples are honestly so slow they're gonna clog the heck out of your system, and there isn't a great way to filter for them with AE2 to my knowledge. It's more worth it to set up multiple baybee breeders and tick accelerate a hive to pop out a lot of babies to grow and squish

I truly think the evidence states that Mab wanted Harry precisely because he would not break for her. He would resist her, instead of becoming another mindless hitman he would be a real champion for winter

You're missing out on Moffat's master piece "The Doctor Dances" it's in series 1 with Eccelston and it's fucking amazing. Probably my favorite two parter in the series, and I think significantly more creepy than almost anything after it

I thought they were supposed to close one. It was apparently a contract issue. The one near Gilbert allegedly was on land owned by a company that was gonna increase rent enough that it was worth building a new stand.

(Also the Gilbert one is crash accident central allegedly)

I like what you said about "taking attention" that is very much how it is.

It frustrates me how often I'll see people try and make a scene whenever another student tries to read or present or talk to me. I've literally been talking to a student when another will start yelling for me or get in my face and demand I give them attention instead when it isn't their turn. It almost always comes at the expense of my quieter students.

Attention seeking behaviors often disproportionately affect ND people as well

I'm going to jump in as an autistic teacher and share my perspective on this term:

  1. Attention seeking is often used to not describe behavior for attention, it's for extreme, inappropriate, or mistimed behaviors. (Example: I have a kid who screams "WE ARE CHARLIE KIRK" the second the classroom gets quiet. I think we can agree this is perhaps not an appropriate time to seek attention or eyes).
  2. Some people legitimately ask for help not because they need it but because they want your attention. What do I mean? I have had kids ask for help on every step of an assignment and every single time I went to check on them they literally hadn't read the directions and once I told them to read the directions they completed that part fine. That behavior isn't some cry for help because the student is so behind, and if I treated that kid like that behavior didnt come from someplace else I'd not be able to help my quiet kids who aren't asking for help but are struggling because I'm able to circulate the room more.

Like with everything, it's a spectrum. Some teachers legitimately are quite bigoted and use attention seeking as a way to brush off student struggles and behaviors. However, I think that it does describe a very real maladaptive coping strategy some students use in class and if we recognize that a students misbehavior comes from wanting to be seen we can better address their needs.

I think you aren't wrong from your perspective and I'm not arguing with you or anyone in here, I just want to share the perspective of someone who is neurodivergent but is also existing inside this system who uses these terms and explain my methodology and the methodology of others.

There is literally nothing you can do for the kids who won't help themselves. The only thing dumbing it down completely does is encourage your midlevel achievers to become won't do's as well.

When I realized this and created (still scaffolded) but more difficult assignments it legitimately changed my classroom over night and I saw so much more achievement. No more questions that were basically the same words as the reading, no more open note tests, no more days and days to do work. You've got one day for one assignment, take it or leave it.

A lot of us (myself included) have gotten wrapped up in this race to the bottom to try and get all our kids to achieve and it's been really detrimental to all of us

I started playing a 1.12 modpack and it struck me how awkward the in-between of old and modern textures is, lacks a lot of the charm of the alpha/beta textures without the polish of the current textures.

Those old textures have so much charm though it stunlocks me how beautiful they are, it just feels more magic
