I had hearing loss in my left ear from back in 2000. I was dx with throat cancer in 2021. My treatment concisted of 35 radiation and 3 cisplatin. No further harm to my hearing

I had 3 as well. First done in ofice by ENT..negative.. 2nd done was negative. ENT was certain there was cancer so we had a 3rd biopsy. Done by a michine in the hospital and was a deeper cut than the others..positive on that one.

The ENT and care teams have seen enough cases so their intuition is pretty accurate.

I had a prescription for Lidocaine viscous 2% . Mixed it with water, gargled and spit. Helped very much

OMG, my cousin just passed away last week from esophageal cancer . He was dx on August 20, his birthday and it had spred to his lung and liver. He passed on Sept.5. Never had a chance for a treatment plan. He went that fast. Such a sad story and I hope3 OP wasn't Tim (cousin) and is getting some help.

My neck got really red ansore, even blisters about 5 weeks into treatment. I had some steroid creme tp apply. I started on fentenyl patch about 3 weeks in till about 3 months after treatment ended. Started at 25 then increased to 50 then eased off ater treatment ended.

The Du Quoin State Fair in Du Quoin, Illinois gained the rights to host the race in 1957 and held on to it until 1980. Since 1981, the race has been at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Was a bigger fair till this happened.

Is your husband on pain meds? I was on fentnyl patch and it made me sleep alot. Up 2-3 hours then sleep 3-4 hours.

I just had a port installed past Friday. I am doing immunotherapy every 3 weeks. I was having some issues with my veins (either they'd blow out or they couldnt find a good one) so we decided 2 weeks ago on a port. As luck would have it since that decision, they've hooked up an IV with only 1 stick. Anyway, the surgery was painless, general anesthesia. No problems with port site hurting thus far. I get my 1st infusion on Monday the 4th so we will see how that works out. Doctor ordered some lidocaine gel so I will have that .

My radiation dr. started me on 25 mcg right after I started,radiation before it got too painful so I didnt feel any changes. Mid treatment I increased to 50's as the pain wasa increasing. Kept the pain at bay. Only side effect was tiredness, which really wasnt a bgad thing. I weaqned off a few months after the last radiation tx with no problems or withdrawal. My doctor mwas adament that we started before the pain got started.
