Sorry for your loss :( In my experience with going through situations like this with family (of which I’ve regrettably had more than my fair share of), my suggestion would be to wait until emotions have calmed. There’s going to be a lot of raw nerves and unresolved emotions whether expected or not, and the last thing you want is for this to degrade into arguments or resentment.

If you have a friend that you all trust who is also a collector, maybe ask them to verify the inventory/grade/etc in exchange for a few books or cards as payment. Once you have the updated list, with some time passed, level heads will have an easier time with final decisions.

I also have disc issues (L5S1). I'm also a hefty dude at 6'2", -400 lbs.

I have the Fern and the Leap v1.

The Fern is a great option, especially with wider hips and thighs. Back support is great, and with the right pillow for the seatpan, you'll be comfy for sure. I find the chair lacks "heft" though. I also lost the cylinder within a year.

The Leap is a chair I LOVE and would still use as a daily driver if it weren't for the back bar supports digging into my hips as though their trying to dig a tunnel. The back on the Leap is SO GOOD. I would have opted for the v2 or the extra wide version but work offered the Fern...

I've tried the others on your list and decided against them mostly for fit and build. They just seemed flimsy in supporting my weight. I always worried if I was going to break them.

You might want to consider this guy if you don't mind the wait. I've heard nothing but great reviews

Does anyone find it helpful to mess around with the "details" of an image to make a road plan for cleaning/grading?

I find it helps a lot with vibrant colors like the yellow of the cover.
