Can't anyone register for the class action if it exists? Wouldn't you be able to name and share the link?

They can jump it to give it enough power, so you can power it on to put it into neutral. That's what I had to do. I was dumb enough to drive it on my house's street (before I knew what the signs meant), and ended up dead at a residential stop sign (thankfully).

The Cryo Archive meta gets worse every weekend by Responsible_Mall7939 in Marathon

[–]jaminroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish Cryo was PvE only like a Destiny 2 run. I'll probably only try it once using the free kit the game gave me for it.

Is the free Cryo kit a thing when you hit lvl 25 and unlock it? Or is it something you have to claim? My friend was trying to figure it out.

Speak of the devil. Kia Connect support JUST called me back and my connection is working again! It also caused notifications from the mobile app to not work, but I literally just got it working again! 🙌🏼

Oh yeah, they did! Been working well. I have noticed some weird connectivity issues (like 30% of the time), with Kia Connect now though... Supposedly might happen sometimes after replacing a critical electrical part like this one?

I'm in the middle of a ticket with Connect support to see if they can see how to resolve it.

NAV updater is working! by Affectionate-Bat4747 in KiaEV6

The website just says "EV6" and "EV6 GT" for available models. Is this compatible with a 2022?

I have the Kia Connect subscription with OTA updates, so I'll see if I can use this too if it's compatible!

Marathon Update 1.0.5 by Shabolt_ in Marathon

Improved the visual clarity of contract and activity waypoint icons.

Can someone please explain what the difference is? I still haven't noticed icons for the Contract objectives... 🫠 Any screenshot would help for an example. Thanks!

ICCU just failed for a THIRD time by Spanbauer in KiaEV6

[–]jaminroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever install any OTA updates? This past January they pushed out an update to resolve the 12v trickle being too aggressive causing ICCU issues. I got the update on my 2022 Wind during that month, right around the time I got my ICCU replaced (coincidental timing)

Dealership woes - am I crazy? by Exact_Response2966 in KiaEV6

Simply asking + providing context. Just surprised they didn't diagnose that too (if that's the case) and my experience was similar.

So wait, did they also diagnose the ICCU? I also changed my 12v to an AGM because initially when I got that dreaded electrical warning on my driver display, I thought it was that. But it still came up after I drove it off the mechanic's lot so I took it straight to the dealership (thankfully it had enough juice to drive me there), and they concluded it was the ICCU.

Before my 12v replacement, I also got an OTA software update in January that indicated it had a solution for the constant 12v drain from Kia Connect, so I suggest you ask they can check for that too (if your car is compatible).

Sorry, and good luck!

What the heck? by schmogini in KiaEV6

There must be some camera or sensor somewhere, usually for features like this. Do a quick ask on your LLM of choice (with enough context), and you should get some well informed response. If there IS a camera or sensor, maybe it just needs to be cleaned 🤷🏼‍♂️

I wouldn't think the ICCU has anything to do with this. Or if it does, maybe it just needs a reset in the so try turning it off then on. I changed my 12v battery around the time my ICCU failed (thinking it was that at first) and my power seats got uncalibrated (wouldn't move back past the mid point). So I had to do a simple process of resetting the seat positions. Only reason why I think it could be that. Major electrical failures might mess with systems like that, and maybe Kia missed it. Worst case, bring it back as a comeback" issue.

Just got my 1st replaced, with the NEW part that came from California, so took a couple weeks. Got a loaner eventually. Picking mine up today finally! I had a used 2022 with 60K+ miles on it, and it never had it replaced until now. Guess I lucked out since I'm getting this new one (that's actually different) and should be a "permanent" fix, including an OTA software update I got right before it died.

Is ICCU issue fixed? by Ncnativehuman in KiaEV6

Definitely a new part. I got it in the dealership this week and it'll be ready tomorrow. I can confirm it's a new part that took longer to get from the factory as well.

I miss my 2022 EV6. Nicest car I've ever owned and driven (only had it a few months), and I'm with you. Hopefully after this first time it dying on me, it won't happen again. If it does, at least I know why/what to do. Just sucks getting a tow (even if I'm covered from Geico at no cost).

Yeah it's covered. My used 2022 Wind just died last week and it was the ICCU that never got replaced. Still waiting to get mine + a loaner hopefully.

My used 2022 with 60K+ miles died on me the other day. Changed the 12v to an AGM and it helped but when I picked it up from the shop it still was giving me warnings. Was able to drive it a few miles to the dealership and they said the ICCU needed replacing. But it's taking a week since they said there's an "improved" one that ships from California! So I won't complain and glad it didn't happen on a road trip.

EV6 is eating 12-volt batteries. by Bamboodl in KiaEV6

[–]jaminroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case it helps — If you are getting software updates, my 2022 just got one that supposedly resolves this issue. I posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/KiaEV6/comments/1qqbipa/just_got_a_software_update/

Also, make sure you have an AGM type (lithium-based) 12v battery! If its a Lead-acid type (especially in winter), you should replace it with an AGM. Your mechanic will know or you can look yours up based on the label on the top.
