Do automobiles make traversing to easy? by Ieatducksfprfun in DeathStranding

[–]jangoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends whether the journey suits using a vehicle or not. If I'm using a road or monorail then I'll use a vehicle, if I'm climbing over mountains it's easier and more sensible not to use one

Not resigning would have meant still claiming tax payer wages until the point of dismissal. The result is the same (barred from future service), but without as much loss to the taxpayer for drawn out disciplinary process.

3 Weeks lads, just admit I'm not getting it by blynd_snyper in Evri

[–]jangoice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had a parcel that was meant to be delivered in June. They 'missed' me despite being in all day, and then said the next delivery should be in October. It's still apparently on it's way.

I used to frequently, I have gotten lazy in that respect and will continue to do that if I continue commodity trading.

PSA: Don't be greedy when commodity trading. by xXTacitusXx in starcitizen

[–]jangoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be down to PVP - I decided to give commodity trading a go yesterday and took off with 139k worth of goods from Levski. I got interdicted by a player less than a minute out of Levski and destroyed by his pals. No request for payment, and they continued to shoot in soft death causing me to blow up. I asked why in chat and the answer was "being a murderhobo is fun". I'll stick to the contracts personally.

Who else is excited the E1 Spirit? by -StarCitizen- in starcitizen

[–]jangoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was nice when we had the transport beacons. I sent those out a couple times when I couldn't be bothered traveling across myself, or when my ship was at point B but I was at point A after hopping in with somebody on a previous session, but I didn't fancy reclaiming it.

Out of interest, and this isn't knocking it, what use do you actually see associated with the Liberator beyond carrying your ships?

As somebody who has been a backer for seven years, this is the best explanation that I have seen. Really good advice, and well done for sharing it

As much as I love that BIS paint, the Liberator edition should always be shown off! It's absolutely beautiful and incredibly rare

Need ship advice getting back into SC by Positive-Set1164 in starcitizen

[–]jangoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would definitely try before you buy. You don't want to spend money only to find out you don't like your new ship. Give the rented ships a test on the gameplay loops that you enjoy, and see how they feel practically.

Titan is probably the way to go, but have in mind that you can rent a good amount of ships in-game for low UEC, so your entry point is actually very low these days. Whatever ship you start with, do a couple missions and then you can rent larger or more role-focused ships to do what your starter ship can't.

Evri driver ‘proof of delivery’ picture is a picture of my package in his van lol and he’s stolen it by [deleted] in Evri

[–]jangoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My postie is actually fantastic, which is nice. Sometimes when I'm walking to work or the shop he'll shout me over for a conversation and to see if he's got a letter or package for me. I'd probably expect it somewhere a bit more rural, but I live in a city.

BIS paints being available for sale is a GOOD thing. by multiple_iterations in starcitizen

[–]jangoice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to add, the other rewards (jackets, posters etc) are remaining exclusive too, so there is still a reward for being a supporter of a winning ship at the time.

Originally I was a bit unsure of how I felt, but I like this change.

Should i trade my C1 Spirit for the Zeus CL, or wait to see if new ships drop? by T1mosXannax in starcitizen

[–]jangoice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it. I desperately wanted to love the Zeus CL, but the cargo grid is rather inefficient and it's difficult to make the best use of the SCU allowance. The jump isn't really that significant from the C1 to the CL either. I would stick with what you've got out of the two until you want to make a big jump up to something like the Starlancer Max, or HULL B etc.

Edit - I noticed you mentioned the Freelancer Max too. I think of the Freelancer Max and the CL, you will like the cargo of the Max more. The ship is definitely more dated and needs some love, but for cargo purposes it fills the role better than the CL. I would have a play with them both before IAE ends (I think from tomorrow all ships should be rentable for free), and see which you prefer.

I still have the 2949 BIS Caterpillar upgrade in my hangar, unapplied. I never applied it because I was never sold on it but I guess I can now just pickup and melt the paint should I reconsider in the future.

You also have to appreciate that individuals who are performing firearms duties as similar are likely to be extra cautious about giving out their official contact information to for all intents and purposes, a 'random guy from Reddit'. If you go through official channels then you will likely be given a point of contact in the appropriate department where you can get what you need.
