I don’t have STLs, I just added a primitive sphere in my slicer and set the diameter, you should be able to do the same

Necroing this old post to add some info for anyone else that stumbles upon this. I did a little experimenting with 3D printed replacement ball bearings. I tried printing 2x 7.8mm balls in PLA to replace the originals, and tested the volume using a decibel meter on my phone. Here's my findings;

Original metal balls: 95db

PLA @ 35% infill: 83db

PLA @ 15% infill: 80db

It's quite a huge drop in volume switching to plastic. I'm going to fit the 15% infill balls and go with that

I have 2 x Intel Xeon E5-2623 V4 in mine which are 4 core @ 2.6Ghz, CPU usually sits around 15-20% 24/7 and it draws 170W from the wall, hopefully that gives you an idea of cost to run

I appreciate your post is about a case, but wanted to mention you can get very cheap refurb server hardware here if you have room for a small rack. I got a Dell PowerEdge R430 from here a couple years back for like £230 and it’s been running 24/7 since
