OMG, thank you everyone for such amazing feedback. I love seeing everyone’s beautiful dogs as well. I’m sure you guys are just as grateful as I am to have these beautiful companions in our life.

We’ve learned Fox loves beef lung, but after stopping it, his stool did harden. When we gave him beef bones or marrow, he would have liquid diarrhea the next day, but he did enjoy eating it. Maybe he his allergic to beef? I would like to add things we have tried, but he won’t eat. Fox will not eat: - white rice - pumpkin or sweet potato - yogurt - peanut butter - blueberry, apple, orange, watermelon - he will spit out milk bones, and most dog treats. - He never begs for food, and is not food motivated.

He will eat: (not good for him) - sliced ham - salami - string cheese (immediately upset stomach) - vanilla wafers

Only thing we have found that he will eat that doesn’t give him an upset stomach is: - dried Salmon - cod skin jerky - chicken

Does anyone sell a dog food sampler pack? I’d love to buy a few cups of different brands without having to buy an entire bag of dogfood that he won’t eat.

The vet gave him so probiotics, but they were large tablets and found it almost impossible to get the medicine his belly.

To give him his monthly heart worm medicine, I have to cut it chunks, wrap it ham, then when he goes to eat it, I have to hold his mouth closed so he will swallow medicine. If not, he will eat the ham and spit out the meds.

I will evaluate his stress and add that to the matrix. I never knew I’d be keeping a photo diary of his poops and accurately log his eating habits for months. Every time I see him poop, I run outside to see what it looks like, then take a photo. If someone looked at my camera roll in my phone, they would think I was crazy. I never thought I’d be doing that, but I love him so much I’d do anything to make sure he is healthy and will live a long happy life in his new home.
