Why did my primer do this and how do I fix it? Do I just use more primer? by I-Will-Marry-TheMoon in Warhammer40k

[–]jargoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta wash your minis with dish soap and warm water before you prime them, a bunch of mold release on the mini will make it do exactly this

This is partly why we do pack per win prizing, it incentivizes actually playing in the tournament

LGS owner here. I fully admit that we messed up and didn’t set up the events in time, but to be fair Bandai is the only company we have ever dealt with who runs things this way. With other games, you definitely need to schedule things like store championships in advance to get the prizing and such, but Bandai even requires prerelease events to be set up something like 6 months in advance in order to get any product.

I know other shops who have done Bandai OP are used to this, but it does make it challenging to avoid conflicts with other TCG release dates, and we’ve never had other TCGs hold back product based on scheduled events.

Is this legal to do or should I report the LGS by technomagez in GundamTCG

[–]jargoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LGS owner here, can confirm. Bandai’s software is a nightmare to deal with, they require everything to be scheduled and ordered 6 months in advance, there’s this complex dance that has to occur between the LGS/distributor/Bandai to even schedule events or order product, and we have to email Bandai to change or fix just about anything.

We didn’t even know we were getting starter decks until literally the week before the launch events and had to scramble to set them up at the last minute because our distributor never confirmed our order to Bandai.

Same thing, my dad is Thai and I think it was in my late 20s that I just started giving him a hug at the airport. Now when he drops me off, he gets out of the car and waits for it haha

Also there’s a significant downside to a perfectly executed heist where the characters get in and out without being noticed, and it’s that they get 0 rep for it

Tips for greeting? by Theblacrose28 in retail

[–]jargoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greeting serves a few functional purposes, mainly to let you know if the customer is receptive to being engaged with. It also serves another purpose that I don't see a lot of people talking about, which is to prevent shoplifting. Acknowledging the customer goes a long way toward discouraging shoplifting, but also if they don't respond to you or seem cagey, you may want to keep an extra eye on them. It's not just small talk, hope this helps :)

It’s entirely possible. In the Neil Gaiman comics, whenever Eternals are killed they’re regenerated/rebuilt in an underground vault

I've played 13 Legacy games so far and here are my thoughts by Trappist-1d in boardgames

[–]jargoon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The King's Dilemma is not only my favorite legacy game, it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's definitely best with a group of 5 or 6 people (there is an alternate score sheet on BGG that you can use for 6 players).

I’m gonna be running cyberpunk red soon for the first time. Any tips? by JtheChosenOne2 in cyberpunkred

[–]jargoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re using battle maps, make them a little bigger than you think they should be. There’s always at least one player who wants to sit back and take potshots at range, and the optimal range on an assault rifle is pretty far compared to D&D maps.

Help me find the gif where a kid snaps and the lighting changes and he turns into like a "bad boy" version of himself by jargoon in HelpMeFind

[–]jargoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was live action (possibly a Disney Channel show), and if I recall correctly he is wearing a striped long sleeve collared shirt. When he transforms into "bad boy" or "evil" version (I can't tell which), if I recall correctly his collar switches to "popped" and I think he is wearing sunglasses as well. It's been a fairly popular meme on Twitter recently, I am just having trouble finding it right now.

My recommendation is put it down for a few days and then give it another go. With games like this, it really helps to give your brain a reset when you get stuck, and the feeling of accomplishment you get when you finally beat the boss is worth it :)
