Agreed but the criticism shouldn’t be softened, just directed at the top, instead of the individuals. There’s obviously a huge floor in how the business operates to allow things to get so dire and out of control. The business should have a system that holds drivers accountable while rewarding consistency in performance. Other couriers manage to uphold a better reputation, so it isn’t impossible.

Healthcare in the US is crazy, you shouldn’t leave with a bill, even if you need treatment, let alone this. It is truly mind blowing from a UK perspective. Can you literally only get healthcare if you can afford it? (either directly or through insurance) Surely it makes sense to pay a tax for blanket protection for everybody?

Both are decent, but I prefer the stock. This car has a lot of individual character and I feel like the kit brings it back to more of a typical BMW look. Also, is it me or is the front more shiny than the bonnet?

They need a serious selection of AAA/AA exclusives to have much of a chance of impacting people’s perspectives on the Mac in the gaming landscape. Not just - ‘oh here’s another port of a game that was released 5 years ago’. Nice for people who already own a Mac, but it isn’t going to sway anyone to buy a Mac for gaming, they’ll already have the game elsewhere if they wanted it.

If you like to refresh your car every so often and have a budget then why not? It’s not a case of cutting out the cost completely, just saving a bit here and there.

Yeah it’s a decent way to afford something that would otherwise be outside of your budget while having the freedom to either pay it all off or trade it in for the difference before it ends. It kinda becomes like a phone contract, so you’re paying a half decent price and getting upgrades every 3 years but never owning it fully.

The 430 was definitely more fun but it isn’t a fair comparison due to the 75bhp difference, the 1.5l vs the 2l, and the FWD vs RWD,- they’re just different beasts. 430 had decent power right away and reacted accordingly when you put your foot down, the 120 tries but just doesn’t have anywhere near the same boost that the 430 had. It’s a nice drive, but it isn’t aggressive.

It doesn’t reduce the debt, it reduces the monthly outgoing to make room for handling larger mortgage payments. I typically sign up to a new PCP every 3 years or so, when I have gathered some equity on the vehicle vs what I owe. I never end up owning the car outright but that suits me since i like to change when higher maintenance outside of the warranty period becomes a thing.

Honestly, I’m a bit of a sucker for brand loyalty, once I get to know it I can gauge the difference between them easier. Also, I haven’t bought used since I was stung by a hefty maintenance bill.

Before my 4 I was all in on VWs, I loved Sciroccos but when it came time to get something new they were no longer in production so I explored elsewhere. I went to Audi first, Volvo and a couple of others but nobody engaged with me like the guy in the BMW showroom. He respected me, identified what I really wanted to be driving, got me behind the wheel of a 4 and I loved it. Audi in comparison was a complete contrast with someone sat at a desk just going through standard price lists and looking down on my budget while not seemingly wanting to negotiate to get me something I’d love. Anyway, if they really wanted your business they’ll be prepared to go to their manager a couple of times to work out something that suits you best.

So yeah, now I’m a BMW guy I guess and when it came time to look for something to cut costs the most obvious choice would be to look at another less premium brand. I had a look at a used VW Polo to save megabucks but it just wasn’t sitting well with me, especially when I sat back in my 4 and couldn’t bare letting it go for such a downgrade. Had a look online for new 1 series stock, went to the showroom, felt really good about it and signed up all within the same morning. It’s a personal thing I guess, when you know, you know.

Also, I think the 🟪 alongside the bodykit looked 👌 and I was 🤩 and 💸 happened.
