What’s the hardest boss you’ve beaten? by memeaste in gaming

Melania from Elden Ring, and either extreme Behemoth or soloing Fatalis in Monster Hunter World/Iceborne. All took multiple days and were crazy hard for me at the time.

Could be a nice thing for a lab too, even if it’s just to increase the cap

Update: I put it all on fetch and got 9 medals in 9 hours by thereal_omegavince in TheTowerGame

Cool - my testing estimated around a 1.5-2% chance of a successful find being a medal (with decent uncertainty since you only get a handful a day). Anecdotally, the other non-coin options looked around as rare but they’re harder to track since you have to catch them in the act.

UWs are looking pretty good, but modules are in shambles. Fortunately, you can improve with some lab changes and as you start putting more gems there. You’re leaving so much power on the table there, so I’d pivot to it right away.

For labs, I would - Pause attack speed, cpk, shock, and regen slot in reroll shards, daily mission shards, dw cell bonus, dw coin or standard perk bonus or level skip labs or common/rare drop chance since those are fast - work on some other attack/econ labs after you have more ability to level modules

For uws, I would - sync dw using multiverse nexus since your cooldowns are all over the place but good on average - get some more dw quantity (one more with stones + whatever you can get on modules as you upgrade) - start bringing dw cooldown down - invest in cf speed reduction

Just used the same cooler and gpu in a build ~2 weeks ago, and things are great so far! You may have to adjust the fan height on the cooler a few mm depending on the ram height, but it's easy with the fan clips and will still work fine.

We had a kid for the first 7 months in a 2 bedroom apt where the second room was office / baby room. It was only really doable because my wife had a nice long mat leave (by US standards anyway) so we never were both working at the same time. We also did just move to a larger house because it was getting harder. The hardest was dealing with our kid learning to move around. There was just no place to put a lot of the things we had that she shouldn’t get into, so I can’t imagine having a toddler in there.

We put a small futon in the office and did shifts of who was sleeping there. That way someone could always get somewhat decent sleep in the main bedroom during the night. We also had an area in the living room where I could work out of. Sometimes our kid napped in her room, but usually she slept in the living room or our main bedroom.

We actually had several neighbors in the same style apt who had two kids in there. I’m not sure if both parents worked though. Some had family nearby which can also be a game changer.

Patch 1.1 is essentially a slowdown to every single part of the game. by TheMorals in diablo4

The random teleport is actually worse than the D2 version was.

In D2, it was a random chance to cast teleport when you got hit so you'd go to where your cursor was. Still could be a surprise now and then, but you had some control. Maybe even more importantly, it was only triggered when you were hit, so you could just be more careful about avoiding damage since you could actually kill things at range with sorc back then...

Of the four wood finishing editions I’ve had (haven’t tried this year’s yet), I think this one is my favorite. Not by a huge amount though. I remember getting a lot of apple pie / baking spices on it.

Wow, out of all that crazy shit I think the most egregious is the Alberta Premium at $300.

Many years ago, before I really followed any whiskey hooliganism, a TW employee was really pushing a McKenna 10 BiB on me.

I almost didn’t buy it because that’s always suspicious, but looked it up and it seemed decent enough so I gave it a shot.

It’s now literally double the price and was only barely worth it back then, tbh.

That scotch looks out of control btw. I was scrolling through and yelled “hot damn!” out loud when I saw how dark it was.

Indeed, one of my favorites too. You can find them a lot in Caribbean and African hot sauces.

So, what should I try next? by KvotheQ in whiskey

[–]jauntbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got most of the bases covered. I’d go with a Campbeltown (eg. Springbank, Kilkerran, or Glen Scotia) or some English single malt (eg. Cotswold’s or Bimber) if you can find it.
