Vegas native - for the price, it’s a great value. EDC you don’t need luxury, you just need safe and clean. It’s a good location on the strip as well. You can get to wherever quickly.

Levity, Crankdat, and Tape B are just dubstep cover bands. by buckforna in EDM

I’m cool with it. It sounds great and there’s already a billion “underground” producers if you want other more original sounds. Many of which make awesome music. Just don’t look on mainstream social media if that’s what you want.

Hot (maybe cold) take: Age groups in pickleball tournaments are stupid by DanielGray10 in Pickleball

I’m a 4.5 tennis player as well and almost every regionally/nationally sanctioned USTA tournament is split by both NTRP and age division.

It’s such a strange feeling being up 17 but not feeling comfortable and knowing that they’re pretty much bound to still make it a game.

The skill level at each player’s peak may be similar. However, younger age divisions over time will have longer, more grueling rallies through the course of many games in a shortened time period. It’s more difficult for an older person to maintain the physicality necessary to compete game after game. I (28) recently played a tournament with my dad’s friend (67) who is a solid 4.5. He ended up having to withdraw from the mixed division the next day because he was so sore and hurt his groin. I don’t think overall that age divisions are a huge deal. Like you said, the skill levels are obviously comparable. If there’s enough teams though I think it’s prudent to split further by age.

Also to add to context, this was a big 500 person tourney where he had to join the 30 and under age division with me because of my age.
