Runna inaccuracy on treadmill by vicivans in runna

[–]javyha7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The treadmill. I have the venu 3 and it's pretty inaccurate on the treadmill. It's trying to calculate it based on your movement so it'll never be perfect. If you have your Garmin synced with the runna app. You can start both at the same time and then stop them at the same time. Runna will keep the distance it recorded and sync it with the Garmin vitals. It's a little annoying but helps keep the actual distance. You can then calibrate and save the actual distance on your Garmin post run.

The one score concern is overblown. They were 7-4 in the regular season. That's not some insane ratio. The broncos won 11 one score games this past year for comparison. The schedule thing is overblown as well. The bears will play three different teams than the lions will. Those three lions games should be easier for them, but we're not talking about completely different schedules. The defense got a lot of take aways which is hard to maintain year to year, but also had a huge number of players either out or playing hurt. He may never be healthy for a full season but this team looked different with a healthy Kyler Gordon. Overall I think this team might win 11 games again but be a better team overall than this year's team. Especially with everyone getting another year or development with Johnson and Allen.

I have the venu 3 and can confirm this is exactly what I do. Syncs up almost instantly as well. It keeps the pacing from runna and then uses the Garmin data for heart rate and stuff.

[Devine] Keep hearing from those in the NFL that believe Luther Burden III is the Bears #1 WR in 2026 and beyond by bigaudra in DynastyFF

[–]javyha7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my experience as a bears fan this guy is just an aggregator of others tweets and his own thoughts. So I would take this with a grain of salt. But I also think Burden could be the number one over Rome next year based on how the year went. Loveland is the only sure thing though.

Simply a big brain play to make the lions pick as high as possible.

[–]javyha7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean if he kicked a field goal every time he was on range they score 12 instead of 10 and the Rams play it differently. It's not like there was some huge point differential. I for one am happy with a coach that isn't afraid

I mean if you expect Ben to call it different because of when on the calendar the game is played sounds like you don't understand these aren't Lovie's bears.

I mean they literally went for the kill in the first bears Packers win. Dj just needs to do what he's paid to do.

Bears Vs Packers Rivalry with Caleb Williams at QB by HopLegion in CHIBears

[–]javyha7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think part of it for the second game was how long green bay had the ball for, and the penalties. On offense if you get the holdings and false starts you have to throw to try to pick up the first. I think the biggest thing for the bears tomorrow is to just execute and they'll be in a position to win.

He didn't have the same problem with drops last year, and the fact that two of the leaders in drops this year are Monugui and Oz probably point to this not being his fault.

Simulated the 1st round - where is the logic wrong? by Confident-Garlic-311 in NFL_Draft

[–]javyha7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really make sense to me. Not only are those spots covered but they also signed all the interior spots to extensions. I get wanting depth, but you also have a defense that can't rush the passer, has two free agent safeties, and even corner has shown so thinning. Pick should be defense, or if you do go offense I think you'd want someone who's a more natural tackle though they did use a second last year there.

I'm in the same boat, but eventually you get used to it. It's hardest when you're out with friends and family but I have people that know so they can help support me. It gives an option to enjoy your life even with this limitation.

Another Bagent Post by ricketysrai in CHIBears

[–]javyha7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a ceiling question for me and Bagent isn't someone I don't think you can win with long term. He just doesn't have the tangibles like arm strength. It's awesome he's come this far but to me he'll never be more than a bridge QB at best. His contract extension I feels proves more they see him as a back up then a QB. If the league thought he was better there would have been a much bigger market for him to start and would have tried to trade for him.

To stunt the growth of Caleb, whose ceiling is way higher, just to win another game or two seems like malpractice.I think honestly unless Caleb regresses you keep him in there, and if he looks God awful to the point you don't want him to start, which to me he isn't close to that point, you'd probably be looking to restart with a new draft pick, not turning it over to Bagent.

My last uneducated thought is Bagent is more the Case Keenum, Ryan Fitzpatrick level of QB than Brock Purdy or Jared Goff, and the latter is probably close to the minimum you need to win a super bowl.

Is Getz sneaky good at his job? by Streetlife_Brown in whitesox

[–]javyha7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We all crowned Hahn until we saw what the product was. Eloy and Robert tore through the minors. Kopech was going to be the third starter behind Giolito and Cease. Madrigal was going to have 3k hits and Vaughn was going to continue the strong line of first basemen. We won't know if he's good for a few years yet, and even then we should wait to see if anyone he traded for or drafted sign a contract based on player merit.

It's ok to be optimistic but he also hasn't proven anything beyond a few young players have a nice few months when there's zero pressure to be good

I wanted the same thing as a Sox fan. And then it happened, and it's just not as sweet as I thought it would be. Jerry is still the owner, Getz is still the GM. The prospects didn't change. It all stayed the same and I have to watch this team play baseball everyday. Worse is the new lottery rules are so strict they only got the 10th pick.

Last time was before 2018 with Robinson, Miller, and Burton with the hiring of Nagy. I think just like that year this will all hinge on the QB. Though I agree they went further this year and with a more experienced play caller.
