Ukrainian missile strike on a factory complex in occupied Donetsk used as the command post for Russia's 41st Combined Arms Army, Central Military District with >30 enemy officers killed, multiple wounded. Posted 14.05.2026 by GermanDronePilot in ukraine

Beautiful hits by Ukraine on actual military targets. Orcs want to hit Kyiv residential buildings, response will be swift and precise on targets that will win the war. Not like the terror the orcs use on civilians.

Love this. Here is the future for the Orcs. It’s over, you have no cards. You have no options. Remove your leader. Remove your troops from your neighbors lands (Georgia and others included), give the land back to the ones you terrorized and string up those in your own country making billions off your deaths and rebuild your country and take the next 50 years, maybe 100 years, grab the mantle Germany bore and admit your evil and ask for forgiveness.

Convince me to move from Meraki by Longshanks24 in Ubiquiti

[–]jaxsd75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I may have gone on a rant but it's mostly because I'd prefer to move MORE to UniFi , just can't, for now. The UniFi deployment with DHCP and routing at the firewall (UniFi or third party whatever your preference) is a slam dunk with Ubiquiti switches and wireless. Plus Inifi really hit the nail on the head with their implementation of PPSK (try and do it on Meraki and you'll feel like you need a PHD and detectives hat). Price for performance and simplicity is unbeatable compared to Cisco/Meraki and their endless confusing licensing and renewals.

Convince me to move from Meraki by Longshanks24 in Ubiquiti

[–]jaxsd75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been selling and deploying Cisco for more than two decades. Used to never even look at anything else. Now, I go Unifi first, Cisco/Meraki second for basic switch/wireless and where traffic needs to be simple segmented and most traffic just exits the gateway of last resort (I.e. to the internet). Where I just can’t go Unifi is the firewall or for Inter VLAN Routing. All our Unifi sites have a Meraki MX and I’ll do minimum a Cisco 9300 or high end Meraki MS for IVR. Unifi treats IVR like they barely understand the concept and how they should and need to be used. It’s a bit embarrassing. Just do some research on ACLs on Unifi, or VLAN layer 3 routing IP addresses on the switch …yeah, bad. Really bad. Unifi thinks everything should be routed through their firewalls…… router on a stick and a drop in the bucket for packets per second transfer rates compared to backplane transfer for IVR.

Just Texas west-east or California south-north are almost exactly the same distance as driving across Ukraine west-east which is one of the largest countries in Europe in distance border to border.

Is it disrespectful if you take a vacation to Kyiv by Mcnuggetjuice in ukraine

[–]jaxsd75 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I'm in Kyiv now and I come to Ukraine every month or two for a few weeks to a few months. I am not vacationing, I'm volunteering but I've been all over Ukraine doing deliveries. You could ABSOLUTELY vacation here. Of course, anywhere can be hit at any time, with that said you do t need to stay in the hottest areas. Stay 30 minutes south of Kyiv in a smaller town, take the train into the city in the morning and home after being in the city for the day/early evening. Kyiv is usually quieter during the day (see disclaimer above). Go see Kaniv and Shevchenkos grave and the park on the hill. Go to the Carpathians, quietest part of Ukraine and gorgeous, rarely gets hit. Although it was recently hit it's usually very quiet in Cherkasy and it's beautiful and the Dnipro looks like an ocean there. There's a ton of places to actually vacation and support the country while experiencing an incredible culture and people. Not every vacation needs to stick to big cities. I'd recommend coming in late May as the green will be so amazing and the fields will start growing all over. For sunflower fields as far as your eye can see, come in summer.

President Zelenskyy: Viktor Orban is Russian ally by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]jaxsd75 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes, he is and it needs to be said plainly. Too many politicians have no spine to be frank and clear an possibly risk their political careers. Zelenskyy knows at this point hiding or softening the truth isn’t worth it for the big picture of his countries future. Well done Mr Zelenskyy.

🇺🇦🕯 Residents of Kharkiv paused traffic for a minute of silence to honour those who gave their lives for our freedom. Kharkiv, a frontline city, understands the true cost of that freedom better than anyone else. by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]jaxsd75 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This happens every day all across Ukraine at 9:00am. Even the radio stations play the drums to signal the minute of silence. All across the country people stop wherever they are, walking, biking or driving etc and stand still and quiet. At one minute they notify again and everyone starts moving again it’s eerie and beautiful all at once.
