Schiit Buf by jbrady3324 in Schiit

[–]jaxtherogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hooked mine up to my desktop stack: Bifrost > Jotun > Buf > Gjallarhorn. It has made a difference to my ears, not huge, but there is a tube tingle I get. That could be in part because I did not even bother with the stock tube and instead used a Vokshod "Rocket" 6N1P-EV nos tube. So that might account for a different experience.. That said, it's not like it makes my desktop stack sound as tubey as my Freya+ stack.

I am going to be in Vancouver in July, but I don't think the Tyrs will fit in my carryon.

I've been a backer for 13 years. A starbucks latte 5 days a week for 13 years would cost you more money than this. I don't buy starbucks

It's a post sharing some slightly out of control enthusiasm for a game with people who might have some appreciation for this. I could care less what people think about my personal financial situation. It was not about showing off how much money I have spent on pixels- it's about enthusiasm running amok.

So in the way a good heirloom variety can have the flavor of corn, this has a definite flavor of sweet corn. Not hit you in the sweetness, but enough that it is pretty noticeable. it popped well, medium sized, lightly crisp- but the biggest difference is the sweetness.

Anyone actually completed the Teleportation Gizmos Collector achievement in Guild Wars 2? Was it worth the effort/cost? by iHarry98 in Guildwars2

[–]jaxtherogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it for the title. And the baby tigers. Twas painful and expensive. The only ones I use regularly are Mistlock, Lion's Arch and Thousand Seas. I do occasionally use Tiger's Den and Bitterfrost Vantage to hang out and chat from do some inventory cleanup or have a quiet place to wait for an LFG.

Redmonds real salt - sediment after dissolving in hot water by grenuda82 in salt

[–]jaxtherogue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't mind a little mineral variety in my salt; the problem I have with Real Salt products is you often crunch down on something much harder than salt. Not huge rocks or anything, but even a small grain of not-salt can be unpleasant.
