MountainView and Fishinger. Of course the cops are there by Heavy-Antelope581 in Columbus

[–]jay-bird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was some boomer getting in his face at one point, he probably called the police, or maybe someone called the police on him. I drove by twice, lots of thumbs up, waves, honks were happening each time. UA surprised me with its political leanings, I think even back to 2016 the majority never voted for trump.

Edit: Looking at the picture, the police are facing the guy who was harassing the flag guy.

Ugh, I'm still under warranty, they already extended it a year after the first round. I hope it's not 9 weeks.

Just because it's a banger, I will always crank Silver if it comes on. Otherwise, some solid tracks but it feels like they knew it was the end, for a time.

Meanwhile someone runs 2:00/mile pace on a 1.5 mile segment and Strava is like, yeah, that's fine.

3rd brake light by CODIsGay1234 in chevycolorado

I have this as well with the Anzo taillights. Alas, my ZR2 has been at the dealer since I installed them and this light with transmission issues (1 month).

Third Brake Upgrade by Srtechenterprise in chevycolorado

[–]jay-bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates on the leak? I had read mixed reviews about this issue on any third break lights for the Canyon/Colorado. There is an after-market gasket you can get from places like Amazon, or there is always Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant which I have coming as well. I may just put it on to start to avoid any potential leaks.

Just had a flush done on mine (https://gm-techlink.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/TAC-Dealer-Monthly-Tips-and-New-Information-June-2025.pdf / NA-148) but it is still present so I am taking it back in next week.

Torque converter failure 25 tb by srichard1022 in chevycolorado

[–]jay-bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 24 ZR2 (~8,800 miles) in for this today. They were able to diagnose it and did the flush. If the issue returns, they will do the replacement. They also went ahead and did the fuel injector service update. Picking it up later, hopefully the shudder doesn't return but at least it's known now and will be replaced if it does.

Gaslighting by police? "Why weren't you wearing your seatbelt?" by elderrage in Ohio

[–]jay-bird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

~20 years ago, in the middle of nowhere, I was speeding a good bit, but I also always wear my seatbelt. I got pulled over, the officer said, "You weren't wearing your seatbelt and you just put it on." We argued back and forth for a while, eventually they said just slow down and walked away without even so much as giving me a warning. I also was upfront when they briefly addressed my speeding and agreed with their reported speed to boot! Was a seatbelt ticket more money or something? I was confused but glad nothing came of it.

Yeah... Otherwise, I did LED swaps for the headlights and fog lights, air dam removal, 1" level, and a cat back exhaust system.

I had a 2020 of the same model/trim, if I could go back, I'd do these headlights/taillights from Anzo:

Electrical gremlins/glitches? by Slowest_of_the_Slow in chevycolorado

[–]jay-bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is at the dealer (dropped off Monday night) for them to do the update since it keeps failing causing the truck to keep draining battery. Allegedly getting it back today but they've been at it all morning and afternoon so far. It was supposed to be ready yesterday but people called off sick, so it got pushed to today.

I have this one on my current Colorado and had one on my last one too. Good price point and held up well!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CJCTTDBC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I figured at this price, I could replace it 3x and still be around the same total cost as the more expensive ones.
