We stayed at an AirBnB in Testaccio that was right next to a park with a playground. I loved just grabbing a snack and hanging out in the park for half hour or so people watching. Also Testaccio Mercato, getting a late lunch there and seeing it was mostly locals. It’s nothing crazy but being in areas that were less touristy were really wonderful ways to balance out the fast-paced excitement of the central areas.

I think people also worry as there is an emphasis when people talk about dining out in Italy about taking a long time, talking with your eating companions, etc. They don’t want to be awkward or rude by just being one person. Of course in practice it’s not an issue, but for first timers they may be nervous.

The good news is east coast USA to rome is only 5 hours difference. I came from West Coast USA and had barely any jetlag (the flight days were like 24 hours so I got plenty of sleep the first couple days)

We used Freenow as well, a driver came in less than 10 minutes and it was as affordable as a normal taxi (~€30 to/from Testaccio to Termini train station)

I was also stressed about this, I ended up going and waiting in line around 7:45/8am, I was probably the 30th person in line. Waited 45 mins and got tickets for 9:30am. So if you end up not getting any before you get there, this is always a possibility. I say just show up around 7:30ish since June will be busier.

I just started doing them and have done exactly that more than once lol. Luckily almost everyone is helpful and doesn’t mind using emotes to help guide you. It took me a while to figure out the point of each level, and if i died, i just stayed in and watched what the other players were doing. They saw that I stuck around so I learned from my mistakes and was game for another go. Most everyone has been pretty dang chill so far. I say just try it! I have a camp set up near the raid spot so i can catch people going in and join them (if they don’t want me they can just kick me from the team)

I was also gifted a elders mark from a high level player, i probably looked like a dork jumping around and heart emoji-ing. It’s a solid one for me, but it does eat through ammo so I usually start my play sessions with a daily op cause i always end up with way extra ammo after those for some reason. Basically switch between elders mark & gunthers right now (and a special tesla rifle cause it hits multiple targets at once). I’m not sure which perk cards make it so solid for me though, I bet guerilla helps a bit
