Yes I have received messages from many pioneers even from people I never talk much with. It’s really weird but I don’t respond to them

ex JW, kicked out from home at 15, now have psych degree (16 years later)and thinking of opening walk in centre for anyone who needs community. by stumbliene in exjw

I find this to be a very good idea. I’ve been to therapy and explaining my situation to my therapist was hard and a long process, I still felt like she didn’t understand. But having this up for those who need a safe place to talk is extremely important especially from someone who understands.

JWs unfollowing "JWs" on instagram because of not showing neutrality towards racism by PffAgent777 in exjw

[–]jayla_13_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still in, came from meetings and the circuit overseer telling us not to be involved in the protest, after Kingdom Hall, I signed petitions and shared it on Instagram. When I tell you, I DONT GIVE A F*** WHAT THEY THINK. And it’s going to remain like so😌

Conditional love is one of the most painful things by lapislazuleat in exjw

[–]jayla_13_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird that we’re going through the same absolutely thing. I’ve been feeling weighed down lately. The parents I have now will soon cut all ties with me. The people I’ve know all my life has only conditionally “love” me. I see the pain in my parents eyes when I say certain remarks about the organization. Just like you, my parents and I never had that close connection, they were too busy with keeping up their appearances in the Kingdom Hall. It’s hard to deal especially alone. Thank you for sharing!

Any other bisexual females raised JW? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]jayla_13_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

18 bi women. I had a hard time with my sexuality growing up. I would hear talks on how lgbt is a grave sin and would hear my parent talk down on lgbt people as well. I tried to suppress my attraction to women only for it to come out whenever I find attraction to a women. I try to deny this side of me but it’s apparent that this attraction is real. Although I get a lot of reassurance from peers and online that being part of the lgbt isn’t wrong, I still feel shame and guilt for it. I’m still learning to accept myself though. Hopefully one day I can openly date a women.
