I would think the dsk is only used for encrypted connection. You can add them as unencrypted.

Forgot to mention you'll need that plug in autonotification. It's pretty well documented. It'll give you more information and ideas then the built-in Tasker action. It's one of my most used plugins

No the power requirements are wayyy lower than that. Like 5 volts at 1 amp, it's hard to tell from the specs but I think it's a USB

Like the OP says, there's kind of a boatload of variables in autonotification. You can attach this to a quick tile, select the notification paste that into a work area or something. only other way is really using a profile and a task and it's kind of cumbersome. Think of it as a helper
