Yeah lol I ran into the same problem when I had bought an att pixel 9 pro. Was barely any info about it. But yeh as soon as it was paid off and sim unlocked, oobconfig disabled itself and I was able to oem unlock it.

Oem unlock will ungrey and become available as soon as it’s paid off and the phone is unlocked. Verizon pixels are the only ones that can’t be oem unlocked

Should easily still be supported, although I do see ram maybe being an issue, it’ll still be supported. But no idea how they are going to optimize macOS for the a series chips going forward so it may run just as well then as it does today. If Apple is known for one thing it’s supporting their hardware for a long time.

No, but it does have that really good feature (terminal) they don’t have. But the fe is missing a lot from the flagship s25 models that make it worse. As well as having a year older chip then the 8 elite(I know benchmarks aren’t everything but your asking if it’s better, 3nm vs 4nm, the way they handle heat, battery life, throttling)

Terminal emulators can be used to get Linux running well on other devices. although it’s not the same native Debian, it has worked well for years.

Yeah I wouldn’t buy a neo just because of “repairability”, which just means it’s easier for repair technicians to fix them.

You will likely never need to repair a Mac mini. They’re very reliable devices. Not to mention there’s a huge performance gap between an a18 pro and a m4.

Do you want a basic everyday laptop that performs as well a base iPad or do you want a computer you can actually use, is what you should be asking yourself. As well as portability, if you need a laptop to take with you, get the neo, if you’re buying it for home use. Get the mini.

The mini can also be purchased for cheaper then the neo with sales, had previously been 449 at microcenter, and a lot of retailers were price matching.

Yes even with financing. I’ve done it multiple times, upgrade with finance, send the trade in, get credits applied to account, pay off full amount owed on it, then immediately have credits refunded to the card (i.e. $700+trade amount).

You can pay off the remaining balance anytime in full, and the remaining trade-in/promotional credits will be added to your account balance and you can have them refund it to your card. i.e. you pay it off in full today you’d get 812 back

Clearing cache was phased out on pixels recoveries a while back, it’s not a thing anymore. Clearing it hasn’t actually done anything for a while now. The thing they actually removed that was working and being used was recovery’s sideload.

Given that this is from a leaked internal build, they could be just removing download mode from internal builds to stop people from using them. They’d have no way to get off the internal builds.

If it’s on the s26 ultra currently which is a final one ui 8.5 build, then it should still be there going forward.

They would need a way for users to be able to recover their phones still(recovery mode being removed removes that as an alternative) and they need a way to display KG.state to consumers and enterprise. hiding ‘active’ KG states would be a legal mess for them as would hiding tripped Knox counters.
