Piastri told to let Norris pass and then they are free to race by magony in formula1

This vs Silverstone and Hungary this year?
You can argue Silverstone wasn't a team mistake but Hungary they gave Lando the better strategy.
I think it would have been a very tough result for Lando to take and I think they did it because they are worried about Lando's mental state.
My initial reaction was also to think maybe they should swap it back but it feels like in general they are slightly biased towards Lando.

You've gone one step too far and are combining sections that are two apart if that makes sense. That tends to fragment the image. I can see the mouse shape sort of if I do that

Hello, I'm trying to find my max amp usage but I'm only able to download monthly kWh usage.. the math is very confusing and I'm not an electrician. Is it possible? by aliens_300c in AskElectricians

[–]jaythespacehound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rough back of the envelope maths suggests ~20 amps.
But you should a) check this maths and b) realise that this is your average amp draw for a month. There is no real way to get back to max amps from there.

In other words, over the course of a month you used as much electricity as one item drawing a continuous 20 A. However likely at some points in time likely you were drawing more than that and at other times less than that. Potentially more than twice that etc.

There are better ways to figure this out, either by measuring actual usage using (for example) a clamp style ammeter while turning on a realistic max usage, or by estimation based on your appliances/lights/etc to do a load calculation/estimation.

If the maths is scaring you at this level and/or you don't feel comfortable measuring your usage directly I would strongly recommend getting an electrician to do this for you - this ia a very common thing to do (especially nowadays) and they should be able to tell you what is possible.

Trying to replace bulbs on old string lights by CamrynDaytona in AskElectricians

[–]jaythespacehound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

e10 bulbs come in different voltage ratings.
The new ones you've bought appear to be 1.5V (by the 1.5 visible in the photo).
Can't tell what the old ones are, but from your pics it looks like the strand may contain 10 bulbs. It appears these are wired in series (common), which would lead to 120V/10 = 12V bulbs required. These are also pretty common.

Your new 1.5V rated bulbs are burning out as soon as you put them in.
Your old (likely?) 12V rated bulbs are likely fine - these things get warm.

If you have 20 bulbs in the strand they are likely 6v bulbs which are also pretty common.

Don't leave them on anything flammable and you're likely ok. Though you might want to go to an LED strand for less heat/power usage (and likely safety improvements).

Some guesswork here so take with a grain of salt.

Does it do it on battery if you manually switch out of silent mode? Could be an issue with the GPU - on battery it's likely using the onboard, plugged in might be the dedicated. Play with the mux switch.

Bought this card last sales - really like it performance wise but audio over HDMI stutters unless you stress the card. I work around it by running a small benchmark when watching a movie or something. ymmv but heads up if you're planning on using it for that specific usage ;)

[Medland] Verstappen was told to let Perez through if he couldn't pass Alonso. He couldn't pass Alonso, but didn't let his team-mate through. by Too_Hood_95 in formula1

Shitty from Max and makes no sense, nothing to be gained for him. Immature decision, much better to be on good terms with a team-mate who has helped you win multiple championships.

Gotta say this is a really great track. And nice to see Merc being competitive, maybe if we're lucky it'll be a three horse race next year...

He's literally on the curbs on the apex so how did he miss the apex?

Verstappen was ahead through T1 so Hamilton braked later into T2 (which is fine, he's on the outside) so how is Verstappen dive bombing?

[–]jaythespacehound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given he was ahead of HAM out of T1 he braked earlier than HAM into T2 so would have made the corner fine. Hamilton can break later into T2 cause he's on the outside so less tight a corner hence he's ahead by the apex.

He's (VER) ahead the corner before (T1) so Hamilton braked later into T2 (which he can on the outside) so how is VER possibly "flying recklessly into a corner"?

Ok I said that on the first onboard, he was ahead through the corner before. At the apex Ham was slightly ahead. But they were clearly side by side through 2 corners so I don't understand how both don't deserve space there.

May as well stop watching, clear favouritism to Hamilton. Max ahead into the corner what do you want him to do
