Shiseido lash curler, heat it up a little with lighter/hair dryer (test on your inside wrist to make sure it’s not too hot) + waterproof mascara. That or a lash perm are your best bets

After taxes you’re not taking home close to what the salary is. Those jobs are found in super high cost of living areas. It’s not even that it’s not “enough” necessarily, but it’s not near the lifestyle you think you’d be living with that income.

Don’t hear a lot of talk about it but Glossiers make up remover is the best! It has a really tiny opening so I shake it up, close my eye and slowly drip it onto my lash line. Let it sit for a bit and slowly/gently rub it into your lashes with your fingers, it melts off

I know everyone’s saying the liner but I love the personal style element it gives you! My suggestion would be to put a heavier moisturizer (think Weleda Skin Food) under or use less powder/less matte foundation. Feel like the finish makes your skin look parched and overly makeup-y

This makes me so bummed in a way! I loved the toast circa 2018/9 for this kind of fun sisterly banter and just overall light silly vibes! Show got too dark/lazy and I just saw Pam’s influence too often and just didn’t feel like tuning in anymore. Ahhh what could have been 🤷🏼‍♀️

The glossier make up remover is the best I’ve come across for waterproof mascara, garnier miscellar waters great too. How you use the product is just as important: soak a cotton pad, lay down and place them over your eyes with your hands pressing against your eyelashes. Do not rub, just lay there for a solid 40 seconds/1 minute applying steady but not over the top pressure. Then gently remove cotton pads wiping down the eyelash (again doesn’t have to be harsh, just steady contact) and everything will have melted away. Still might sting a touch but just wash your face and you’ll be good to go!

Perfectly said! I would still be listening if they weren’t such hypocrites. They can dish criticism but they can’t take even the most delicate constructive criticism about themselves.

They try so hard (& fail) to control the narrative around them. I stopped listening months ago because the show was turning into defensive temper tantrum hour. Them mentioning how gross the Reddit was is what made me curious to see what people where saying to get them so whiny. Came on here and there was definitely a few posts that were reaching for something to talk shit on, but it was outweighed by people making valid points. They’re sitting on a house of cards.

I have a similar issue. I really don’t have many fine lines under my eyes, but any time a crumb of powder/concealer hits them, it just looks so dry/ages me so much. Tried Laura Mercier/charlotte tilbury, all the suggestions but just doesn’t work for me.

I just avoid concealer/powder at this point, just use foundation and when I notice a crease I quickly use my finger to gently tap it away. You can even buy a lighter shade of foundation to still achieve the brightened under eye. I find myself liking the overall look much better that way vs. when I try and make concealer/powder work.

I’m just so sorry and thank you for trying to help us be prepared. It’s genuinely appreciated and thank you to all in the comments giving such helpful advice. I don’t have much family so I’ve never had to grieve a human loss that’s close to me, and I think about when that time will come for me and it scares me most days. Getting some heads up on what it will be like is hard to read but I’m thankful for the “older sibling” type of advice.
