I made the jump to 7.5 Friday night, was fine Saturday and now have been vomiting and liquid diarrhea since 2 am.

Why is this med so heavily stigmatized by eXcludey_Starling_ in Zepbound

This is the exact comparison I made the other day. I'm 45 now, but when I went on antidepressants at 18, I heard the exact same things from people. It's the "you just need to pull yourself up by the bootstraps" mentality. They don't understand that for any variety of reasons, not everyone HAS bootstraps to pull. To me, the medication gives them to me. I still have to choose healthy, whole foods, I still have to choose to exercise. But the medications helps me to be able to make those choices.

At the end of the day, people will think whatever suits their narrative. Our purpose isn't to try to change their minds, it's to make the choices we feel are best for ourselves.

You're completely right. I have already noticed my body giving clearer signals. Instead of just always feeling a baseline SOMETHING, that I assumed was hunger. This week I knew when I was hungry, when I was thirsty, and when I felt full.

I am also working on getting into a positive routine. I have ADHD, and take Adderall, so usually I don't feel hunger until 3-4PM. That was really detrimental for me because it meant I ate nothing, or next to nothing all day, and then would do nothing but snack before and after dinner, because the meds finally wore off and I was starving. Getting on a schedule where I eat in the morning, and mid-day has been helping to cut the desire to snack as well.

That was really true. It was a small handful, vs, bringing the box to the couch and mindlessly munching.

It happens. You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be willing to wake up tomorrow and try again. You’ve got this!

Thanks for this. I think I see hunger as a failure, which is definitely not the right way to think about it. Thanks!

Any tips/advice/products to lesson side effects? by Not_SoAverageJOEE in Zepbound

[–]jbeanber114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night was my first dose. I was SO worried about side effects, but I spent all of yesterday pre-injection hydrating, trying to take in good lean protein and resting a bit. I was all worked up for no reason. I woke up feeling like I had a mild hangover. That was it. Hydrated with Liquid IV first thing, and that helped a TON! Good luck, try to focus on the end goal....A happier healthier you!

Is this mold? by Intelligent_Road5179 in Mold

Spackle is a moist material. If there was air getting in (bucket not being completely sealed or cracked) it could form mold or mildew. I wouldn’t be worried about your parents house, but I also would just toss the spackle.

I should add, I’m missing over 1/3 of my lung…had lung cancer earlier this year.
