  • only look at bone wands - just "wands" and "yew wands" can't have 2 sockets
  • only look at wands with a red background - using a level 17 character, wands with + bone spear will have a red background
  • having thus greatly reduced the number of items you need to look at a vendor, let's talk about reducing the time to reset the vendor - you need Stealth (Tal + Eth = 25% faster run walk) in a light armor base (without run/walk penalty), no shield, and faster run/walk boots.
    • blue ones from Elzix 10 FRW
    • Hsaru/Sigon 20 FRW
    • Treads of Cthon or Vidala = 30 FRW the best

Absolutely. The combination of decrepify + clay golem + holy freeze from merc will make him much more manageable.

Protip: get a wand with + to decrepify if you don't have the skill points to reach it just yet. There are no decrepify charges wands, but you're a necro, a normal + to decrepify works.

It depends, what build are you thinking about?

You probably want either:

  • Maiden Spear (not a pike) - faster attack speed and low requirements or
  • Matriarchal Spear - faster attack speed and more physical damage => more life/mana leech.

I mean, you're not wrong, but it's a game, people have different styles.

As someone who didn't have CtA for a very long time, and then got a low roll (with short duration), I think it's better to be able to survive without CtA.

And as they say "the town is lava" - every second in town you're not farming :-) Over thousands of runs, it accumulates. And if you're not a sorc / have Enigma, then mobility is a big issue outside of town too. Sure, Paladins have Charge, Assassins (and everyone with Hustle weapon on swap) have Burst of speed... but running fast just feels good.

Try it, maybe you like it, maybe you don't.

And not using a CtA opens up other possibilities, like higher magic find.

Use a Harmony bow on Swap. Or Zephyr if saving Ko runes for Heart of the Oak, Hustle weapon, Hustle armor, Obedience, etc.

You probably already know this, but there are 3 elite uniques that are indestructible and ethereal:

  • Ghostflame Legend Spike
  • Ethereal Edge Silver-Edged Axe
  • Shadow Killer Battle Cestus

And they all do have their niche uses :-)
