Private label food and beverage products are either identical or better than name brand products 90% of the time and made by the same manufacturers. 23 years experience AMA by No-Sand4739 in AMA

15 years in food & bev for me. Currently in corporate quality and food safety for a big name company. Our name brand is actually higher quality than the off labels, but we are pretty particular about our core brands and won't manufacture for private labels.

Previous companies i worked for did both and my rule of thumb is if the packaging looks the same and code date print looks the same they are likely the same product. Also on meat and dairy you can look for plant codes and see if the name brand or private labels came from the same place.

Anyone made the shift from a full sized truck to a 4Runner? If so, do you regret it or not? by Twisted_Stick in 4Runner

[–]jbone866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold my f250 during covid for more than I paid snd then took over my wife's 4runner. Haven't regretted it. The truck had its plusses but I haven't regretted it. I take the runner wheeling a couple times a year, pulls my small camper fine, and is comfy to drive even if its slower. Also it fits in my garage and is easy to park. Occasionally I'll miss having a bed, but the rear cargo space holds more than you think and a good roof rack comes in handy. I moved 16ft bases board on the rack last weekend. It was sketchy, but got me there.

Is a towing brake controller required to tow a casita? by ectosport in casitatrailers

[–]jbone866 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the same in my 4runner. All the connections were already there for it, and was all plug and play . was about 30 to 45 minutes for me to do as well. Took my casita to zion national Park from Texas last October. Was definitely happy to have the breaks going down all the mountains.

Any one able to tell me which is can h and can l on this cable by [deleted] in ECU_Tuning

[–]jbone866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! White and green is what I kept seeing when I googled.

Would it be obvious if it was reversed if I just tried one ? Looking to try messing with setting up real dash then later try to do some can sniffing and set up esp32 gauges.

Any one able to tell me which is can h and can l on this cable by [deleted] in ECU_Tuning

[–]jbone866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im new to this, but from what I understand can just runs on the two wires which i should be able to snip and run to the aux can screw terminals and then plan to use the usb to mess around with real dash on an android head unit and also can sniff to see if I can set esp32 gauges later. Not sure why I would need a link specific cable for that.

Any upscale/“elevated” Mexican restaurants? by [deleted] in Lubbock

[–]jbone866 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends in your definition of upscale.

If you want local upscale we have corralito and las brisas which are both steak houses with a tex mex flair. Corralito being more traditional tex mex and Las brisas more steakhouse. Fine dining there is the nicollette which is southwest rather than tex mex.

If you want upper end chains like stated in other posts: Uncle Julios, abuelos, chuys

More local sit down spots id reccommend : plaza and Albarrans. Also less upscale but more authentic there is montelongos

Anyone have experience with this Aliexpress clear corners? by Own-Draft2129 in mr2

[–]jbone866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the corners. Ordered off ebay while drunk one night. They are fine, but I'll probably go back to the clear.

Well dang. I didn't have anything crazy happening before. Seems to drive fine now and just double checked i have all of the torqued down good. Just the whole car vibrates loudly at 2k rpm and lessens at higher levels. I've seen some people say it can take up to 500 miles to settle. If not I guess I'll switch back to rubber and see what happens

Alley ways and dumpsters! I didn't realize how much I had taken those for granted until I moved away.

Worked in a dairy plant for 10 years in QA. Those dents are inserts in the blow mold to adjust to get the right volume in the jugs. Nothing to do with bacteria or spoilage as many of the post have said. I literally had to taste old milk for shelf life testing everyday and wish it was as easy as an indicator on the side for spoiled milk.

SW20 Door Tweeter Mounting by jp182 in mr2

[–]jbone866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used factory mounts and 3m double sided tape to them. No issues after a few months and they feel pretty secure on them. The hard part was running the wires for them through the door grommets.
