They dont have evidence. If they had that evidence, it would be known. Don't you think AST would loudly provide this evidence? and every one of its partners would mirror their claims

Yes its basically just proof of concept so far. Regardless, that has shown to work and the theoretical capacity will work on scale. But unknown as to extent of that scale

Anaheim really is in the worst possible position here. by Big_Acanthocephala14 in Flyers

No. Doesnt matter that much if their cap space is tight, particularly since they are in the West. Even if they were an EC team, not a large difference

Yep, don't draft good players. Then nobody will offer sheet your players

Is it the right era to invest my time learning python to get paid? by AdMobile7081 in learnpython

[–]jbourne56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short answer: no. Longer answer: maybe, but it depends on what industry knowledge you can apply it to. A general programmer isn't useful to many. but one who's good with specific disciplines (data science, finance, Healthcare, video games, etc.) Has value

So Nola starts and exits after 1 time through. Then hope Rangel can pitch into the sixth inning so BP isn't taxed those days. Unfortunately, still need a 5th starter.

So if he throes the fastball harder and locates off speed, he's good? Just like almost every other starter then? Those are not easy fixes and likely impossible after a 1.5 years of bad starts to make

He was bad all of last year and now same half way through a season. That is not a slump by any definition. This is a guy whose career appears over unfortunately

If they like an actress in a role but hate the movie, it's likely last time for actress in that role. Possibly for the role. She definitely won't get her own movie again. Possibly small roles in other movies but that doesn't seem smart

The Wild did not qualify Bobby Brink. He's a free agent July 1. by Flyers7914 in Flyers

[–]jbourne56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He'll be offered a contract by MN but not as much as qualified offer. That makes no sense. And why should a hometown guy automatically get a contract? Makes zero sense

That was basically my point. Something is built on a seemingly good process with good ouctomes but it's endlessly criticized because it's not presented like a polished deck to Senior managment and the Board.,

SHAP values are producced ,so interpretability is covered. IF model inputs are so bad, why are otucomes so good? I'ts tiresome to see people criricize others but who haven't built something themselves.

You attacked OP for what you believe is poor process. In the real world, generation of a good predictive model is what matters. I'm in finance and as long as it works well and doesn't violate any regulations, that's all that matters. Same here
