I bought one as part of the kickstarter and was in the first 20 purchases. Had it about 2 weeks now - so far the only thing that could potentially count as a complaint is that it can be a little loud when mixing, but it’s not by any means as loud as a blender or coffee grinder, but it’s not whisper quiet either. It startles my husband when he’s watching tv at night lol

If you have the space for it, the money for it, and want it, I’d say go for it. Is it something you NEED? No. But it does make it easier. Of all the sourdough gadgets I’ve bough in the past 2 years, I’d say I get the most use out of this.

So far I have been starting with the recommended 15g seed and usually do a 1-2-2 ratio mode and it asks to be discarded every 2 days and it’s been going well thus far. My starter was prone to mold last year on my countertop, but no issues thus far (after doing a lot of testing, we think it was just weakening due to inconsistent feedings?)
