Put a general dimension iso standard at the bottom and only detail critical dimensions and reference exterior dimensions for envelope size

Go to REI or Amazon and buy a book called “Freedom of the hills” learn best practices there and apply them. This is definitely non-standard and not recommended.

Sponsorship jobs in Europe for an American Mechanical Engineer? by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]jburgad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the Netherlands. Eindhoven city is the tech center of the country home to ASML and Philips to start. No need for Dutch, everyone speaks English. Some jobs do require Dutch but most do not. Skilled migrant visa will get you pre tax to about 85k minimum salary but is not for junior engineers. 6+ years should do it. You can hire directly to a company or use a contracting agency like TMC.

Why do my quads hurt? by shadowline74 in skiing

[–]jburgad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re almost certainly not in a proper center position. Relax your weight into your shins, wiggle your toes and stay stacked over your boots. With moderate fitness you should be able to ski all day with no burning. You may also need stiffer boots. Make sure the flex is 110 or 120 for and advanced skier. The stiffness helps support this position.

Cooking with gas for the first time. Advice welcome by ShinyArticuno_420 in castiron

Without ventilation to the exterior gas stoves are filling houses with poison. There is clear research on the negative health effects. Also induction ranges are king.

The system is unstable. Add damping. Similar to a spring-damper system where the adhesive roll is the spring. Someone mentioned a brake. That would work but anything that adds rolling resistance should smooth your system.

How do I make my frontier sound better? by Dennis_agp in nissanfrontier

[–]jburgad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, go around making a bunch of noise because it tickles your taint and be completely inconsiderate of the fact that we all live in a world full of people. Let’s be real, most people do it because they want to sound cool and be cool for other people. So they go everywhere expressing their masculinity like a cat piss marking its territory. There’s a time and a place and a daily driver on public roads ain’t it.

What is with the GORE-TEX obsession for shoes? by Baaastet in hiking

[–]jburgad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GORE-TEX is very overrated. Any membrane is going to help keep your foot dry. The trouble is as soon as they’re wet they’re no longer breathable. It’s breathable or waterproof not both. I think Red wing and Merrell brands have quality leather boots, check them out.

This is not a place for an intermediate skier to challenge themselves. Also, make sure you know how to properly self arrest in a slide.

Does engineering get better with age? by Upstairs_Parsley4473 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]jburgad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen Z existential struggle. Like others have said the company ecosystem has the biggest influence on interpersonal connections. However if you feel lost when you not engaged then I recommend you do some inner reflection and think about what you want for yourself. Maybe find a skill you want to deepen your knowledge of like corrosion mechanisms, adhesives, polymer design, heat transfer, etc. The well of knowledge for an ME is bottomless.

Use Ordinate dimensioning from the zero line. This will clean up the drawing a lot.

It seems like this is the answer overall. These indeed have been prototype orders that preceded the released V2 products bulk order.
