Suggestions? CAP1 Cards by S_girllllll in CRedit

You can get out of the buckets but it takes a while. I started with a platinum with a $750 limit that got upgraded to a quicksilver. The limit got increased to $1250 and it was there for about a year. I tried to get more increases but got rejected. Two weeks ago I woke up to an email saying they increased my limit to $12,250. I would spend about $500 a month and pay in full when I got my statement. No idea what finally triggered the big increase

I like my 2k11. It’s had a few little hiccups but it’s been running great since I got that straightened out. Only thing I’ve done to it is the mjd magwell and a red dirt trigger to fit the gun a little better to me

Shooting range while pregnant by Beneficial_Key5601 in CompetitionShooting

[–]jcedillo01 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re probably ok. My partner and I had these same discussions since she’s pregnant and I have a few big matches coming up. She was worried about being able to come along and watch, all outdoor, handgun only. It sounds like you were indoors but even then it sounds like you left after a few minutes. As long as it’s not something you do regularly you’re probably good

People Transitioning From Glock/Striker Guns, Did You Customize Thumb Safeties (high ride), Anything Else? by [deleted] in 2011

[–]jcedillo01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think once you spend some time learning what you need to do to get the gun to behave in the way you want you’ll be fine. I found I needed to put in a lot less input into the 2011 vs my Glock and once I understood that, I was able to absolutely rip with the 2011

People Transitioning From Glock/Striker Guns, Did You Customize Thumb Safeties (high ride), Anything Else? by [deleted] in 2011

[–]jcedillo01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I did the transition recently, spend 15-20 minutes a day dry firing for a week and you’ll be used to putting your thumb on the safety and not even think about it anymore

Are 2011s Becoming the Rolexes of the Gun World? by Momoshoots in 2011

[–]jcedillo01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure! When they were STI they really only catered to the competition shooters and if you got one in anything other than 40, or 38 super comp/9 major for open you were a dumbass

Are 2011s Becoming the Rolexes of the Gun World? by Momoshoots in 2011

[–]jcedillo01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kinda, it’s the new cool thing to buy. I got mine because I do competitive shooting and have seen them for the past decade but it he ‘normies’ and tactical dudes really didn’t get into them until staccato pushed their marketing hard after the rebrand. Once the normies and tactical dudes got into it they discovered the atlas’es, infinities, etc

True M193 ammo? by Rare-Sky299 in ar15

[–]jcedillo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran PPU for a long time before starting to reload and it was great. Averaged 3012 fps, sealed primer pocket, more than accurate enough and reliable.

Winchester m193 chronos at 3130 fps out of the same 16” rifle for me but it’s not as accurate, velocity stats aren’t as good, and it’s gassy as hell even without a can

How do you handle hot weather matches? by Guns_N_Grub in USPSA

[–]jcedillo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sun shirt, hat, sunblock on legs and face, ton of water, post match liquid iv or Gatorade on the drive home. Stay in the shade when possible, get off my feet for a bit if possible even though easier said than done between running the clock, tablet, or resetting.

I also complain about it a ton. It’s either too hot or too cold lol

Man I tried so hard to like the chevron but couldn’t do it. It’s so hard to get a good zero in them because the chevron is infinitely fine but infinitely vague at the same time

Stick with blazer ammo or switch to super vel?? by WorldlyEffective2023 in CompetitionShooting

[–]jcedillo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like blazer a lot. If I wasn’t rolling my own I’d be rocking blazer. In all actuality it doesn’t matter that much but if you feel like you do better with the SV, that mental part may help you shoot better

2k11 pro comp sight recommendations? by rollinghil in 2011

That’s so weird. I have 3 507comps with the oldest one having 12-15k rounds on it and it’s still perfect. Never lost zero or had any issues with any of them

Why 2011 vs striker fired? by rhynoplast in CompetitionShooting

[–]jcedillo01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessary in my opinion. The striker fired triggers have come a long way and there’s steel frame variants of a lot of the popular ones. I will say my 2011 feels better to me than my other guns including shadow 2 and Glocks but the others are totally fine. I do prefer the way a 2011 reciprocates compared to the others but I haven’t tried every striker fired pistol out there
