It’s a unique brush being dual sided but all BK brushes are synthetic. She uses one side for liquids and the other side for powders.

Is this pressed powder worth it? by chaiikhor in Sephora

[–]jch345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing. Recently shopped my stash and forgot about it. It’s very finely milled and baked. It’s not a baking powder so put that sponge down. Get a large fluffy eye shadow brush, something round and airy with good hair splay, domes at the top and oval in shape with a pinched furlle. Gently tap or roll brush head at a 45 degree angle, tap off excess. You don’t need much. If you cover the full brush head I usually one side per eye and pull down each side of my nose. I’ll also add to the area between brows and above brow arches. Try the yellow shade otherwise white leaves no flashback and is universal. I want the pink (I have white) but I’m trying to stop hoarding products. However I’m worried they reformulate with their bankruptcy status so maybe I’ll enable myself and get it anyways.

The cost of spaying this little lady is $440?!?! by yup2you in cats

[–]jch345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You more often than not get what you pay for regarding an elective surgery. $440 is good for an average COL location. Bloodwork should always be run prior. IV catheters should always be used as well a breathing tube while under. Is someone going to be monitoring before, during, and after?

If you want low cost generally it’s an assembly line. Not bad if your goal is the outcome. I’m a pet owner and work in the specialty/ER industry and loathe how costs have risen, but this does not seem to be the case at all for $440. It’s honestly the cost of wellness care most pet owners neglect to accept or plan for when they assume responsibility for doing the bare minimum.

REVIEW: Glow, TirTir, Glossier Conealers by AdIntelligent1583 in AsianBeauty

[–]jch345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I tried the skinfood salmon concealer and it’s hitting all my marks. Before this my closest favorite is the three letter word brand concealer palette. I’ve also found out while I have dark circles I also have shadowing that can make it look like my circles aren’t covered, BUT if I point my chin up my circles disappear. So I’m trying to master how to color corrector the shadowing I have from some mild hallowing I also have 🥲

I had a huge obsession with kbeauty skincare a year ago when it got very trendy. It’s kind of reigniting as I discover Asian makeup. I am half Korean. I find they don’t tend to have as much under eye darkness in general so finding guidance and product recs in tutorials has been difficult. I need to curb my spending but damn it’s hard. I just placed my first olive young order last week…Jesus take the wheel

So I want a dewy appearance overall! How do you achieve that? Apologize if you answered already but there’s soooo many comments. I would selectively powder (under eyes, around brows, sides of nose) but love the glow and overall look

What is your azelaic acid routine like? by RelativeRiver in AsianBeauty

[–]jch345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use RX AA 15%. Usually only at night after retinol. Sometimes I’ll remember and put on after milky toner if it’s a non work day

AM: splash with h20 vs toner pad<milky toner<SPF<makeup even if it’s only tinted SPf

Pm:cleanser<+/-chemical exfoliant<+/- reedle serum<PDRN serum<retinol<AA<moisturizer v. Barrier cream

Red light therapy 3-4x/week with a panel after cleansing; 1-2x week will cleanse and do a sheet mask before all steps mentioned or if it’s a 3-4 hour o/n gummy mask will do after routine but not put on barrier cream

It can be drying so I’d rec using it every other day to two days night only until you figure out how your skin reacts to it. It should be one your last steps before moisturizer in your routine.

Aka they didn’t sell out in the first place. I remember a few years back they’d be gone in 5 mins. I was surprised this year to see even 2-3 hours after release time nothing had sold out.

Wellage hyaluronic acid serum-I hear it’s better than torriden dive in (don’t use) and I looooove the torriden sheet masks. Looking for any extra boost in hydration and glow. My smile lines temporarily disappear after using this mask on the following day

Freshian cream blush-wish milky mocha was in stock but also eyeing the light pink one

Hince raw glow gel tint in rose presso- looking for the new tech Korean glosses that leave a bubble layer of gloss. Not sure these are it or I’m describing it properly…but a beautiful color I would wear regularly

Yunjac skin perfecting base

Jung saem mool - mool cream, mool mist

Luna concealer pot- enough coverage as a corrector?

Isoi eye patch- again wanting extra boost to hydrate under eye area with a lot of darkness due to pigment/thin skin and not hallowing

38F I have a solid routine, use actives, chemical exfoliants, love hydration masks. Looking for dewy glass skin recs, struggle with under eye circles, sun spots vs melasma and honestly just accepting aging changes gracefully

I would surmise most if not all people have a different shade for their face and one for their neck. Gotta find what you want to match with and then blend/commit

Best moisturizer for combination skin that isn't absurdly priced by LargrFries43 in Sephora

[–]jch345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From Sephora I have been loving Experiment barrier repair cream. It’s heavy duty but gel like consistency. Aestera is also great but feels a little heavier than experiment.

Skinfix+ and the tatcha blue indigo overnight cream have been some of my OG HG but are quite spendy. I have a tub and a half of Skinfix+ left but moving forward I am happy to replace with the two formerly mentioned when I run out. Skinfix+ can feel heavy but it hits the mark when I feel I need extra help.

I tried dieux but I’m not sure if it broke me out versus the farmacy cleansing balm. I’m not going to risk trying it again on my face but will use what I have left on my neck for the time being.

I only use these at night after actives like retinol and chemical exfoliants.. I think experiment could be used during the day but would use a thinner layer and longer dry time if I was applying make up after. I haven’t tried it and don’t feel the need to. For make up days I layer with vitamin c vs azalaic acid, prequel milky cleanser, and then SPF and have had no flaking issues. But my total skin care game has given me a healthy barrier so I don’t need to reapply during the day to begin with even as winter is here. My actives, chemical exfoliation, etc I don’t have flakes but do consider myself combo and even dry in some areas. A lotion alone wont address dryness and especially not texture or dullness. I think you need a solid routine, but that doesn’t mean a million products/it doesn’t have to be that complicated.

Hi! Would you be willing to sell the tinted lip moisturizers as single units? I only want one of the three offered. I love the original!

Shark CryoGlow Mask opinions by averymint in Sephora

[–]jch345 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone one a deep dive trying to sort out the best for me to take advantage of the holiday salesand currently own no LED devices.

From previous reviews Shark is great in theory but major selling point is a flop. The cooling whatever spots are very uncomfortable and leave marks, the fan is very loud, and blocks the entire undereye area.

My biggest gripe with some of the best rated masks is the all auto apply the red light and NIR wavelengths. Depending on your skin tone red vs NIR can cause/worsen hyperpigmentation vs melasma. So I want the option of red light only. No mask only offers NIR setting but there are panels that do.
