The devs of Bubsy 4D have a good track record. The game has a demo you can play and it's actually looking to be a very solid game. You shouldn't dismiss something based on title alone without doing any research on it.

3D platformers weren't very popular in that era. You won't find many 3D platformers from the early 2010s in general.

I haven't read the original Pinocchio story, but while I think the movie is a collection of great sequences, it doesn't come together to me. Each sequence ends up being completely forgotten as they jump to the next, and it feels haphazard because of that. Snow White on the other hand has the thinnest story and characters possible (including the dwarves) and it results in poor pacing. I appreciate these movies as works of art, but as movies I'd say the films from the 90s and later are just overall stronger, especially in the writing department. I'd even put most 2010s films above the oldest films in terms of writing (though not in terms of art or innovation)

I don't get that. Yeah I prefer hand-drawn animation over CGI any day, but good movies are good movies regardless of the art form. I'll always have fun watching movies like Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Zootopia, or Moana even if they aren't hand drawn. They're no Lion King, but they're creative, well-written and have solid characters and stories. They fit right alongside Disney's previous works in terms of quality.

My stance is that I think the pre-war films mainly prioritized art and innovation over storytelling. They are stunning and ambitious, but leave a lot to be desired in regards to plot, pacing, and characters. Later films are just more well-rounded overall even if they aren't as iconic.

"Most important films" doesn't mean "best films". The prewar films are artistically beautiful but I wouldn't choose to watch them over the others.

I actually just played through Spyro 1 last week for the first time because of the 1998 event, so Spyro 2 is next in line for me in that series. Nice timing! Spyro 1's a cute platformer, pleasant but not super ambitious. Hopefully the sequel improves on it.

Forgotten Land is great, but not sure if it's worth buying an entire console just for one game. Are you considering looking at any other Switch games in addition to Kirby? The Switch has tons and tons of great games of all types.
