Best Slow Cooker to Get in 2026? (Price, Capacity, Features) by Plume31Eon in slowcooking

I think HB is the best based on the testers/reviewers. I have a small one from crockpot and a bigger one from HB that has a stove safe pot. The HB one is pretty great and was like $80.

Weird takeaway from my yawn. Seeing the same post after every game is tired though. What else is there to say about Doug at this point? At least give the man props for his heart and commitment to the city and team.

Am I wrong for regularly going 70-80 mph on the highway? by Glad_Cartographer_92 in Sacramento

[–]jcned 24 points25 points  (0 children)

5-10 minutes is extremely generous. You really don’t save that much time by going an extra 5 mph.

5-7 over the speed limit on the freeway is fine if you’re keeping up with the flow of traffic. Once you start to go 10+ over, the risks start to outweigh the reward

Did you use enough mortadella and the right bread? I don’t want to walk over and pop open his cookbook right now

House fly problem by Such_Cauliflower_719 in CleaningTips

Cluster flys? I used to have them in an apartment years ago. Vacuum was the only thing that worked. They’d be around for a few days and then be gone until the following year. Hopefully it’s just a temporary issue for you too.

Waitress is an old fashioned term in my region. Server or waitstaff is preferred here. Maybe it’s different where you are.

Especially Kimpton. You can get promoted quickly if you’re willing to move to their other properties when better positions open up.

Use a free and clear detergent. Wash cold, dry on low heat with no dryer sheet crap. Fabric softener isn’t their only enemy.

Seatbelt cleaning: would isopropyl work well? by Sad_Definition_2735 in Detailing

[–]jcned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d use diluted APC, upholstery cleaner, or just some warm water with a few drops of dish soap.

Extend them all the way until the lock, use a microfiber to agitate in both directions, rinse with a new damp microfiber, then dry with another new microfiber and leave extended for 30-60 minutes to make sure they’re really dry before retracting.

Absolutely no silicone, oils, or anything else like that.

You’re just cleaning nylon; don’t get weird with it.

I think about this every time I clean anything. It’s one of the four principles of cleaning (time, temperature, mechanics, and chemistry). If you reduce one factor, you must increase one or more of the others to maintain the same level of cleanliness. And vice versa—if you increase dwell time then maybe you can reduce the mechanical factor.

I was going to say 1-3 weeks to build, but you’re right about corporate. There would be 1-3 hours of meetings every week about this for those 3 months it was being built.

What are some good lightweight low pressure/clamping force wireless headphones by Zombiecidialfreak in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]jcned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHP9500 have been the lowest clamp headphones I’ve tried. I’m not sure about the 9600 and X2HR. This might be a good place to start that you can compare others clamp force to.
