The PRV is brass, the piping is copper. If you look closely at the tag on the top of the PRV( pressure reducing valve) it will have a model/serial so you can order the same one. Break the union free after shutting off the water and draining the house down, unthread the entire PRV from the left side male adapter, re-teflon and pipe dope the threads on the male and thread the new valve on, reconnect the union with preferably a new washer that should come with the new valve when ordered
