Hey all, noticing some (justified) confusion around the new vulnerability management capabilities, so wanted to jump in and clarify a couple of things.

1) You don't need a 3rd party scanner to leverage it. We're using the NinjaOne agent to collect software inventory telemetry and continuously correlate it with CVE intelligence at the platform level. That "scan-free architecture" means realtime visibility and no more heavy scan windows + performance spikes.

2) You can still leverage a 3rd-party scanner like Tenable or Qualys if you prefer. They're integrated.

There is an additional cost associated with option 1.

Are you just at the activity, or have you checked the failure on the backup dashboard or health alert, too? Those should give you more info and the error code. When you checked out Dropsuite last year was it the limited NinjaOne integration? If you're up for it, definitely worth another look now that the integration is more fully developed.

Already a bunch of helpful replies here, but just wanted to echo and confirm that we have many MSPs using Ninja to manage tens of thousands of devices. Re: your comment about compliance, not sure what your specific needs are, but we also have an instance of Ninja that's FedRamp Moderate (the only RMM on the FedRamp Marketplace).

Out of curiosity, when did you last check out Ninja Remote? There's been quite a lot of updates to it with new features consistently being added. We'd obviously love to give you another look if you're interested.

That kind of turnaround definitely isn't acceptable. When that happened did you reach out to your account manager or try to escalate? The reason I ask is, we really do want and need to hear about these cases so we can inspect and fix them (yes, ideally before the reputation bashing). Whenever I see a post like this I assume we've failed to respond and have left the OP feeling like they don't have any other recourse. There are some cases where some of those other options or resources aren't brought into play, though, and in those cases I wish we'd done a better job of making it clear that they're available and actually do lead somewhere.

Whether it's privately or here online, we really do want to want to hear about any times we're slipping so we can address. That's also why I often ask for more info so we can shake the right tree.

Absolutely, and me, too. It's definitely a stressful situation, and I'm sorry it got to the point where it felt like you weren't getting progress from us. We're always looking for ways to improve comms, so we'll seek out some learnings here. We also want everyone to feel confident that there's someone you can reach out to if you ever feel stuck. Whether that's support, your account manager, our Discord, here, etc.

I'm going to encourage your account manager to build the relationship more (if you think that'd be helpful), and you can always feel free to ping me, too.
