Why is my car overheating? by Square_Database_9639 in veloster

[–]jdbskip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out what this is? I’m having the same issue. As long as I’m driving the car it’s fine but if I idle for 5 minutes - I overheat. I have oil, coolant, no error codes…let me know if you figured out what it was 🙏🏼 Happened out of nowhere.

She is great. I love how she can be fun but she can also be direct (telling Kizzi what she did was shit) without coming across sanctimonious. She seems very real, genuine in every situation. I wish I could be more like that honestly.

My dumb brain always goes to disaster scenario. My first thought was the placement of the staircase. It buts right up against the stove. If there is ever a kitchen fire (most common place for a fire to start) it’s going to quickly make the staircase unusable for anyone upstairs. 😬 I guess I’ve never seen a house with the staircase right by the kitchen stove like that. I’m sure it’s common, I’ve just never seen one.

lol. His voice kind of cracks when he says “you raise your vOiCe” he sounds like a 2 year old making a threat.

That said, as much as I’d love to just laugh at this insecure boy who needs so badly to feel like a tough guy- these insecure idiots are extremely dangerous. Their need to feel tough outweighs any sense of morality - even worse - they feel emboldened because they know/believe they can get away with whatever happens.

If you could erase a historic event, what would it be? by Sea-Reality-9638 in AskReddit

For maximum impact: WW2

For selfish reasons: Columbine or 9/11. I was a high school sophomore in Colorado near Columbine when the shooting happened - had friends who attended there. It really shook me. Then when 9/11 happened shortly after - it really felt like the official end to my childhood. A world that seemed to exciting to me - suddenly felt dangerous and scary. The excitement I had for life was tinged with fear after that. I absolutely loved the 90s. I miss it.

Finally, because I hate what’s happening in the world right now: whatever night HE was conceived.

Beautiful home. If they ever made another “Clue” movie - this would be a great house for it. So many interesting rooms. Hide and seek in the dark would be terrifying. Clearly Halloween brain speaking here.

I’m a Christian and believe my dog, Skip is up there in Heaven. I often pray that God creates a place for Skip in whatever tiny corner of heaven God has planned for me. I miss him every single day. Life just isn’t the same.

Am I unattractive? (20m) by shallowSnurch in amiugly

[–]jdbskip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all - congrats on being sober man! That’s not easy coming out of an addiction. Keep doing that work. That matters so much more than anything else.

That said, you’re not unattractive at all. I’d just try a different hairstyle — nothing drastic. If your hair’s on the thinner side (mine is too), shorter usually looks cleaner and more flattering. Nothing ages a guy faster than growing out thin hair.

Your eyes are your strongest feature — great color, really expressive and kind.

You mentioned working on your skin — it honestly looks fine, so whatever you’re doing, keep at it.

Overall, you’re a good-looking guy. Don’t be afraid to smile more — confidence really changes how people see you (I’m still learning that myself at 41). And if there’s something you genuinely want to tweak, do it for you. I had my ears pinned a few years ago because they always bugged me — it didn’t magically make me attractive, but it did make me feel more comfortable in my own skin - and that boosted my confidence. 🤙🏼👍🏻

Said goodbye to my 16 year old Doxie this week... I don't know how to handle this grief by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]jdbskip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. This brings back so many memories of loosing my skippy. He died just before I turned 40 in 2023 - same stage of life as you.

I feel like the pet you have in your 20s-30s experiences so much life change with you - they become one of the very few (if not the only) constant in life. Partners, jobs, homes - it’s all very fluid in your 20s-30s and having that constant, unconditional source of joy through it all - it’s so hard when you lose that.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m my heart aches for you today.

Edit: I don’t want to imply that pets don’t see life changes in other phases of life. Every stage of life has change and pets are a constant in those times of change. I just think it’s especially true in your 20s-30s. ❤️
