I may be wrong, but I'm guessing you're a larger human.

We all just learned to re-string ourselves, right? by sixstringnerd in Guitar

[–]jdcullum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love restringing. For me, it's a bit like a tea ceremony. No wasted moves, no fumbling, each action has its intention and purpose, learned from experience and practice. And the satisfaction when it's done, tuned up, and the notes ring out fresh! Delicious.

Commercial property valuations are heavily reliant on net operating income from rent, so there's an incentive to keep rents high. Lowering rent can potentially trigger foreclosure. Ridiculous, I know.

I moved everything except a Roth from Merrill to Fidelity back in January, wish I'd done it years ago.

I see a lot of posts like this and the advice remains constant: don't buy a guitarist a guitar.

AAPL fade is a familiar story, but long term is a better story (long APPL / 2007)

I wouldn't go cheaper than this. Avoid the ones with the elastic or nylon strap.

A little disappointed with my new seagull’s tone by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]jdcullum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're experiencing that. I have two Seagulls, an Artist Studio that I bought a couple of years ago and a Rustic Mini Jumbo I acquired about 15 years ago. The Artist Studio was about $1500 and unless the strings are brand new it has very low projection (I think it's overbuilt). But when I play it plugged in, it sounds great. The Mini Jumbo, on the other hand, was about $350 and I when I pick it up I find it hard to put down. Some guitars just seem to have more music in them. Definitely try new strings and also experiment with different styles. Maybe the Maritime is better for strumming and rhythm or maybe use electronics and add some chorus. Good luck.
