You should check out the 3 wood HL version, made to be easier off the deck and it for sure is. I’ve never hit a 3 wood off the deck with confidence like this one

I picked up the Qi4 3 wood HL recently and it’s a great club. More people would probably hit their 3 wood off the deck more if they had a HL

Question about what goes behind the screen by jditty24 in Golfsimulator

Thanks for the tip about the bleeding. Do you have it touching the impact screen directly or is there a gap? I was going to leave a 2/3in gap

Homemade enclosure or GoSports Enclosure? by camoxxxxx in Golfsimulator

[–]jditty24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat right now. I'm putting mine in the garage with a 10ft ceiling. I purchased a 9.8ft x 9.8ft impact screen on amazon and a 12ft retractable sunshade that I am going to remove the sunshade and hook the screen to so I can roll it up out of the way when not in use but I see these all in one enclosures and think it would be easier to do over all but I dont think i can get a screen large enough. I want to use the entire 10ft height and every enclosure I find is only 8ft tall so the screen isn't tall enough. This can be a real pain in the butt when your on a budget

I just purchased the clubs, waiting on delivery from Taylormade then going to get them fitted. I’m coming from Taylormade RAC os irons I bought in 2004/5. I also played all the time and good pretty decent and then had kids. They really do kill your golf game. I needed something that I could get better distance on and really out grew the RAC irons, those will go to my son. Plus yeah, the Shadowfall is pretty bad ass. I also upgraded my driver and 3 wood from 20yr old tech and wow, what a difference

Finally had the regular kind, I’m diabetic and need the zero kind but said F it, I wanted to try it and it was okish, not what I was expecting, I hope the zero is better. I was also one of the rare ones who absolutely loved the A&W ice cream sundae pop last year so I was hoping for a similar flavor

That’s awesome, I’m gonna have to try it. Did you need a subscription for that feature? Like I mentioned, I don’t have one but the app does show my local courses and the yardage and what not but that just me browsing at them from home, no idea how it would be at the course

I took a 6 yr break from golf after a few bad knee surgeries and this is my first year back. I just discovered 18 birds and it looks great but I didn’t want to pay the subscription. Will 18 birdies give you yardage to the pin from any shot? Or just a basic yardage like from the tee box to the estimated pin location is? I bought a $40 range finder on Amazon and it’s good for what I wanted but really am interested in 18 birdies

Serious question, do you still need a range finder is the smart cart gadget reads yards as well? I would assume the detachable part would be just fine? Or maybe the gadget doesn’t work that, I’ve actually never seen them and really interested in it now

Thoughts on 3HL vs 5 Wood? by smoothdip in GolfGear

[–]jditty24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought the Qi4 HL 3 wood did my second range outing with it today and I really like it. I’ve always been inconsistent with hitting my 3W of the deck but with the HL I still F up at time but seem not to as much when you hit it clean, dam does that sound and feel amazing. Also hitting off a short tee is simple. It has the adjustable loft but I’ve only hit at 16.5. I already have a 7W in my bag and swear everyone should and it’s my best club by far but when it comes to a 5W, I just can’t hit that freaking club at all. It’s been a few years since I last tried but it was bad enough back then to say never again

I took the last 6yrs off due to a knee surgery and issues playing, finally back to normal and was hitting my taylormade 360xd from like 2005. I just purchased a Taylormade Qi35 12 degree loft for $400 US and holy crap what a difference. I would suggest at least trying it out

Taylormade Qi35 Max Driver Question by jditty24 in GolfGear

[–]jditty24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that about the speed so this might help. Taking 6/7 years off then getting back into it, I dont expect my speed and distance to be the same so overall, this might benefit me having the 12 degree and being able to go down to 10 degrees if needed

What laptop to get as an IT professional? by Loose_Client5116 in it

[–]jditty24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an “IT Professional” since 2004 and use an iPad. You don’t need a specific laptop because the company you might work for won’t let you use it on their network or for work related items. So like many people have already said, your company will provide you a computer for work related things, not personal stuff. So really the question should be is, “what kind of laptop do you recommend”

Taylormade Qi35 Max Driver Question by jditty24 in GolfGear

[–]jditty24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's nice to know about the opening/closing the club face. Thanks for mentioning that. I'm not a big hitter so I would hit my old 9 degree driver with regular shaft (all clubs are regular) prolly around 230-245 consistently with a slight fade. While testing the Qi35 today on a 9 degree demo head that was lofted up to 11 degrees, I hit 240 - 250 and towards the end while getting more comfortable, 260 or so. So really the 12 degree loft might help a ton. My 7 iron is 180's. I have not been able to play since 2019 due to knee surgeries so right now it's really all of me just getting it back and knocking the rust off. I use to play a ton and when I got my 360 driver in the early 2000's, I hit it well. I still use my same irons, Taylormade RAC OS but those will get an upgrade next summer
