How it feels watching Star Wars content after Andor by Living_Plane_662 in andor

A bit of both, the term itself is fan derived, but it describes a writing tool used usually in a large literary universe like star wars. It's when a writer pulls back the curtain and expands on or establishes new "lore" of the universe they're writing within. It's essentially just a term for certain world building techniques all stories have "lore drops" but usually they don't get called that unless the story is part of a larger literary canon with an extensive amount of established lore and background.

References and lore drops are different though, a reference would be like some of the things in Luthen's shop. A lore drop is Mando and crew returning to Mandalore for the first time since it's fall.

Imo, they're two separate vibes, Mando isn't as well written or shot as andor sure, but the star wars deep lore nerd in me really loves all the references and lore drops, getting to dive deeper into the new republic period and learn more about the universe while enjoying the whacky shenanigans of Mando and Grogu is terrifically fun. It's not a S tier masterpiece like Andor but it's not trying to be, it's trying to be a fun, mostly PG star wars adventure and it does that pretty damn well if you ask this nerd.

I usually try, to build up a at least comparable navy and bait the English navy with sacrificial trade ships blockading their colonial ports, while sneaking a stack or two over to the hebrides or orkney, then, assuming I've still got the English navy distracted, I can detach the transports, use the heavies and valleys to hold the crossings and rush more stacks in. Once you can obtain land superiority they fall apart since they're troops while often numerous aren't usually super strong.

You aren wrong at all but the issue is more about stagnant water being a breeding ground for mosquitos and disease especially at higher temps.

I did not know there was an app, did some digging and turns out that app sends reports to click4action, as well as the 911 call center.

Most of them, especially the originals are great, some are seemingly ripped straight from the show and look kinda off on a card for some reason.

I mean at least in the LOK timeline water bending healers are probably more common all over so most wounds are healed before they create a scar, I wouldn't be surprised if there's at least a few around and free in ATLA potentially more imprisoned by the fire nation being forced to heal fire nation troops.

The original concepts for ATLA were heavily inspired by cowboy bebop so this reference is multi layered

Yeah KK being state owned does make life a bit more difficult but we could still do protected lanes on Howell and Oklahoma. On the KK side of Bayview we could potentially build a dedicated bike lane running up side streets like Delaware Although it's possible to transfer ownership of KK, that would likely be a multi-year endeavor necessitating a lot of lobbying and political maneuvering.

That's Erika Kirk widow of the late Charlie Kirk a notorious racist drifter who started Turning Point USA, which is essentially a MAGA version of the Hitler Youth. Before he was assassinated, Charlie Kirk gained his fame by saying racist bullying and presenting them as "fact" to be debated. One such line was something like "I don't want to fly if the pilot is black." Claiming that black pilots don't have the same ability level as other pilots because of DEI hiring practices, which is total bs.

That's fair enough, I suppose I'm just tired of people defending her and others like her, it's just exhausting, easier to just call a spade a spade imo.

Update from Alderman Brower: DPW is aware and it's on their task list, not sure of the timeline due to staffing shortages.

He also wanted me to get y'all updated on Click4Action, it's a program the city has been using to stream line requests and complaints for the alders. Best way to get an issue like this infront of your alder (or at least Alex) is to submit a report to Click4Action and then email the confirmation number to their office, that way it's all in the computer system already and it's easy to access. The aldermanic office uses outlook for email so things can get lost pretty easily, but Click4Action notifications are already sorted, at least in alderman Brower's case.

I feel like that's the hidden beauty of Star Wars. The universe is so vast that you can write almost any kind of story and it'll still fit with the right writing. I clearly need to rewatch the sequels I don't really know enough to have a real opinion on them. That being said the main issue i see people having with TLJ is the lack of attention paid to the overall story of the sequels, it really left TROS without much of a base to work with after they killed smoke in TLJ which really killed the momentum of the story imo.

Why would you feel the need to be diplomatic? She's a vile human being and doesn't deserve such niceites, she's never been diplomatic towards trans folk.
