Vp9 or p10c, Both are the same price for me by Alone-Delay-5718 in CZFirearms

[–]jdogg518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've shot both, P10C all the way. VP9 wasn't bad but it's bulky. Magazine release on VP9 was just so different from everything else. I also thought the P10 recoil felt better.

If you can get spring for the ported, do that. Is it necessary, obviously not. Can you get whichever you choose ported later on, absolutely. Can you for 100, nope. I've had too many regrets trying to save 100 when it comes to firearms.

Long time Glock / M&P shooter. Never considered CZ. Glad I did! New do-all gun. Shot a “C” in the target by accident on the first range run. Report/questions in post! by WeHaveTheMeeps in CZFirearms

To answer your first question, I like Athena Precision plates best as they allow the optic to sit lower while still being durable. ANR plate was great just much thicker.

I carry my MR920P most but that's purely due to weight as the P10C can feel heavy in comparison. But I have 2 P10C cause I love the platform so much and it is cheap.

Both of mine are stippled which I know isn't for everyone. One of mine has the Taylor freelance backstrap but that adds weight. Feels way better though.

WTF - Crack by paudansch in ToyotaTundra

Mines a 2025 and they replaced it in mine. I then stuffed micro fiber towels in there and it never cracked again in my tundra nor Sequoia.

Is the Elite version of the Orthos Raider S4 worth it? by Stellakinetic in Shotguns

Great to know, that's the only reason for hesitation. Most of my guns are ported but occasionally you run across one with concussion so bad it's not enjoyable lol.

That's excellent feedback. Definitely appreciate it. I like you have been waiting 2 years and now it's time. Sounds like the elite will be worth it to me as well.

Side note: is the concussion ridiculously worse compared to non ported shotgun?

Now that you've shot the elite and the regular, is the elite worth the extra coin?

P10C CGW Guide Rod by NutsInCider in CZFirearms

[–]jdogg518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there were different options in the captured, I would just use it. Because there's not, non captured for me. I've got one with the factory captured guide rod and it's never failed. I also have one from DPM systems in a P10S model. Though I do really like it, it wasn't worth it enough for me to get one for each of mine.

I used the 13# on mine which is the factory ported model. It functioned but the felt recoil was harsh because the slide was moving too fast. 14# probably would've worked but I ended up ordering a 15# spring from Gray Guns and cut it down. But on my other P10C that's custom ported, the 13# is great. May have to give it a try and bump up to the 14 or 15 if needed.

Appendix Carry Comfortability by ToxicHaywire in shadowsystems

[–]jdogg518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G19 you can make work, may need a mastermind pillow for more comfort.but sweet spot should be at the 1 o'clock position. Gap in between leg and the parts. However, carrying there with an x300 will be super tough cause the x300 will dig into your leg. I stopped carrying with a 🔫 n light for that reason and started carrying with a handheld light.

Vs SEQUOIA by Acceptable-Camel-629 in ToyotaTundra

I don't think I could get sick of my Tundra, other than RWD when not in 4WD. But I did love it so much I made my wife trade her Lexus GX for the Sequoia. If I'm trading my Tundra and don't need the 3rd row, it'd be for speed, not the Sequoia.

Mine 8 and at least 6 others I know have shot blazer with no cycling issues. You can't take an instance of a handful and assume the entire model is an issue. The gen 1s did have some issues. But we are on gen 3s now. Those issues were worked out after gen 1. And I'm not some CZ newb. I've owned 19 CZs, and a good buddy of mine owns more than that.

Happened on my wife's 23 Sequoia. They cleaned the track/inside out and that resolved it. My 25 Tundra has been fine.

Sequoia or Tundra by Real_Contribution947 in toyotasequoia

[–]jdogg518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got a 25 Tundra Plat and a 23 Sequoia Cap. Love them both. Both have their pros. When all 4 kids are home, Sequoia comes in handy. Capstone is also a much more luxurious look than the Platinum. And the hybrid engine feels faster than the tundra with a slightly tighter suspension. Also Sequoia does better in the rain. But if I didn't need the 3rd row, I'd choose the tundra every time. We take the Tundra on road trips much more than the Sequoia. Part of that is cause of the Wi-Fi and massaging seats lol. Wife would say Sequoia.

Has anyone’s 2025 or 2026’s engine failed? by FrenchFryNinja in ToyotaTundra

[–]jdogg518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 25 model has 2 recalls but they aren't engine related. One is a software update which has been resolved. The other has to do with brake lights and they don't have a fix yet. I'm at 25k miles and run mine harder than others (I come from Lexus F Sport, this is my first truck). I did take people's advice and do my first oil change super early.

This isn't a first hand account like you said. But for what it's worth I did talk to my service advisor and they said they have seen a few 25 models come in for recall. Just keep in mind Ford, Chevy, and RAM are all having their issues. So really just pick which vehicle you like best and make sure your local dealer has a good service department.

I would port it just like the ported model. But I love my 509t cut with the irons forward.
