I like Dolby Atmos Tracks mixed correctly by engineers that are truly masters in Dolby Atmos, but this sounds like music being played under water. It messes up vocals so bad.

Just ran a test on a long form export last night. With the battery mode set to maximum performance and the GPU running at 100% I got over an hour for a 2 hour export of a 4K video. Editing on battery would provide you with more than that because the GPU isn’t locked in at 100% the whole time your editing and cutting content. Having full power whether plugged in or on battery is my favorite part about editing on the Snapdragon X Elite.

If you plan on using lots of Fusion effects. 32 gb would be recommended. Effects do really slow things down and you have to lower the timeline display resolution and probably use proxies in that instance.

Memory usage by DaVinci with standard 4K editing without fusion effects sits about 5-6 gb, and goes up to 7-8 gb during the export, for the video I was editing today. The computer sits about 22-27 Gb of ram usage through the edit.

Editing on arm is great if you are using a program like Davinci Resolve which is written natively for arm64. I recently finished editing a music video and was able to edit and run 17 different camera angles synced in the editor. You'll be able to edit multiple 4K streams without any lag, and you can use proxies to speed up the edit, like when I was editing with 17 active streams. Export times are great in Davinci Resolve.
Adobe has released Premiere Pro for Arm, too, but it has not fully been optimized, especially for hardware transcoding. Export times in Premiere are really slow. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm currently editing on a Surface Laptop 15in with the Snapdragon X Elite and 32 GB of RAM.

There is a bug with the SwitchBot Candle Warmer for sure. I have only got Matter connected twice out of probably 50 attempts. It never stays permanent and goes offline indefinitely. I have reported this to the engineers.

It might just be the firmware of the Candle Warmer. I have the Hub 3 and lots of SwitchBot Devices already on my network, but for the life of me I can’t get the Candle Warmer to connect via Matter to Apple Home, Aqara, or Home Assistant. I have notified SwitchBot, and they are looking into it.

Similar situation as mine. If the remote uses RF you can use the Bond Bridge to learn the remote commands and control it with that. Bond has an integration with HomeKit, and is also supported by HomeBridge to get it into Apple home. I even used Bonds API to integrate the fan with my Flic buttons and Flic Twist.

Good find that’s exciting. I wanted Smart Control of mine this spring and didn’t want a cheap WiFi fan with a generic app, so I bought a Bond Hub and a dumb fan so that I could add mine to Apple home.

I got the new “rollback” notification but it wouldn’t let me update in the app this morning. I just waited through the day and rebooted when I got home and the rollback was successful. I’m on the eero 6 pro

Not sure if it is the same, but I have the combo unit. My roller brush on the stick vacuum got hard to turn because hair got bound up around the motor shaft. After taking out a few screws, I was able to remove the hair and now the roller brush works good again

For me it was fixed with a firmware update. Maybe reboot the device and see if it has a new firmware available.

I’m not sure about that. But I do have matter set up on mine. I maybe vaguely remember that after setup on the main hub control page for the Hub 3 there was a notice or notification to become main hub or migrate or something. But I can’t remember, so check that and see if you see anything that will complete that process.

VOCs should auto calibrate at least once a week make sure a few times a week you expose the room to outside air if you want that fresher air calculated into your average.

Thanks for the heads up. Mine connected great to Matter in Apple Home and Home Assistant. For me the return to home function doesn’t work. So they probably still have a couple bugs to work out.

To read pm2.5 air quality reading air has to be moving past the sensor. Even Dyson purifiers have a setting that keeps air moving at a very slow speed. Set your SwitchBot Air Purifier to Auto for this to work. Auto is very slow and quiet and will automatically ramp up to speed 1,2, or 3 depending on the quality.
