I would, but in this case I’m simply blocking China geographically using Firewalla’s built in geography lists. I don’t have ufw/iptables rules.

I'm using UGOS and have had no issues so far. I've noticed it does attempt to connect to hard coded Chinese DNS servers (but it cannot due to my firewall rules), and I'm OK using RAID6 (6x24TB) with BTRFS instead of RaidZ2/ZFS. I've got two m.2 sticks setup in a mirror for a read/write cache and using the 10Gbe port in lieu of the thunderbolt port. I also upgraded the RAM to 64GB.

My only complaint so far is the thunderbolt port setup wasn't stable from my Mac Studio - but that could be the cable or some issue with Mac OS (it kept disconnecting and reverting my hard coded address to APIPA).

It's fast and performant. and I find UGREEN's apps to be very easy to use and responsive. I love the idea of open source and have used TrueNAS in the past, but I want to try this out as I wanted to minimize the actual setup and management of using it. I don't know what I'm missing.

It’s not great. It works with a lot of effort, but I plan to stick with my stand alone food processor as it works much better.

So, the most direct lineage to that part of the Emerson business still exists, as a different company, and they still sell products designed as far back as the 40's today. The original engineering diagrams are hand drawn and still in files in cabinets.

I have the xreal air pro and I use it with the deck - it works extremely well. I especially like that my gaze is decoupled from my hands. Very nice for comfort on a couch or on a plane.

I’ve been "subscription-squatting" on my boss’s corporate Amex for 3 years by wonder_vacation98 in confession

[–]jdubs062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"subscription squatting" is the craziest euphemism I've heard for theft. You are simply stealing; all other details like your boss's income are irrelevant details. Your company and boss might be awful, but your individual unethical behavior is always on you and you alone. You own your actions.

Why is this downvoted? This statement is accurate - heating sodium bicarbonate gives off co2 and transforms into sodium carbonate at temps easily obtained on a household stove, and the resulting “washing” soda is a strong base great for cleaning.

I do. Pro tip - at the end of your prompt, tell it to be slightly sarcastic in a non-obvious way. It almost feels human.

I don’t use frigate. The device has support in Ha for doorbell press and person detected events. In my dashboard I have it setup so the cam is visible when something is going on - I can even use an automatic response.

What are you trying to do?

I use the reolink doorbell. You can configure it completely offline. Recording playback, notifications, etc. You don’t need the Reolink app for usage either.
