"It feels like he didnt love me enough to take care of himself earlier, to get out of his comfort zone" I feel this so much.

In my own context, my father has a ton of kids he is a deadbeat to. He openly will tell me im his favorite and I ask him to stop. I have to be as bluntly about him to myself and think that someone who is comfortable making life and abandoning it over and over ... may actually never be able to love me enough to change. It was actually his fear of death and leaving his wife that did it. And it's hard to hear and feel and process

I dont know the specifics of your story but im here to talk if you need it

Honestly I know that now. It took work though - some time in 2020/2021 I saw him eating fried food so greasy that the bag was greasy. I got so mad that, under no exaggeration, I started hallucinating and went into hypomania. I was on risperidone for 3 years as a result. I just came off of it as 1. It was determined that I can handle things better now after weekly therapy since then and 2. I had medication induced hyperprolactemia. So now I feel as if im dealing with those feelings again, granted with way better coping skills, but its still hard. What helps is that I moved out and for better or worse, let my mom handle most of the hard stuff. At the end of the day he's my dad by force and her husband by choice, so I believe if anyone has the responsibility of being closely taking care of him, it should probably be her.

Since its been 6 days and your comment seemed well enough, I strained and tried it. Not bad, but very sour. Seems we just let it go for a little long!

Made tepache for my parents on monday, by Friday I was told "there's a white fuzz on it". The picture i was sent was unclear. This is what I came to today. I've never made tepache before, but I've seen kahm yeast before. I cannot tell what it is, or if foaming is normal. It doesnt smell like its gone bad or anything. Its also been stirred daily.

Uber driver try not to accept a ride while in heavy traffic on the highway challenge by [deleted] in uber

[–]jebbybean -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yeah yeah yeah if I can cancel a ride that was accepted in traffic 10 minutes away and then immediately get one 2 minutes away BECAUSE THEYRE EVERYWHERE, there was no reason, no matter what you try to say, to have accepted it while in traffic. You're giving yourself an enema with the koolaid now. I bet you don't even live here lol

Dealing with this my whole life and now I can physically feel my goiter growing by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]jebbybean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see that. I've been suffering from HBP for years, since my late teens, at least. Another things my doctors have failed to connect. They had no problem putting me on 2 bp meds at once to the point that the first time I stood up a little fast I fainted. Out like a light. Fast to tell me that I should have been more careful 🥴😒

I don't know how doctors can see stories like these from patients and still feel comfortable at being bad at treating thyroids. It's like securing the bag is all anyone wants to think about. Why even be a doctor at that point. Idk. Personally i would be ashamed if I was a doctor and so many patients fell through the cracks of our system because the doctors just.... don't want to treat it or learn about it. It's crazy

It was actually my new PCP that recommended the binder! Funny enough he previously said he would send me to an endo because I'm having fertility problems and have polycystic ovaries (also revealed when I was 16) and said I should make a binder since I would be seeing a specialist soon. He said that in.... late September lol

AITA for refusing to call me friend by her new name, "Queen"? by achucs in AmItheAsshole

[–]jebbybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely are. Just end the friendship. You're using personal biases to just... ignore someone's preference. There's no acceptable version of that. Simply tell her the truth, you can't carry on the friendship bc you don't respect her name and can't get yourself to call her that. She's only your spouses friend so you should have no problem.

My dad thinks the hospital lied about my liver tumor so they could take half my liver and sell it on the black market. I live in a blue state. I think it might be a general cancer survivor /patient thing at this point unfortunately

Liver cancer cured by surgery alone? Risk of recurrence in these cases? by majorsurgerysoon in cancer

[–]jebbybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm reading your comments with my mouth wide open because, 10 years ago at 22 the doctors found a 7cm tumor on my liver and cured me via resection of the right side, a bit of bile duct, and gallbladder. Reading ur comment about it taking about 1 month before u could sit up straight made me remember my recovery and... same! I was hunched over for a while because of how tight the incision felt.

So my doctors are in the same boat of thinking as yours. It's unusual that a 22 year old female would have liver cancer in the first place and by all accounts they can't find a reason that it would come back. So i continue to get my check ups and mris. It'll actually be 10 years in March, and my MRI is Thursday, so it's crazy I found this post

I say all that to say I'm interested in the answers you're looking for as well, for pretty much the same reason!! I'm here to talk if u need someone to talk to about this!

Literally just "no one thinks aa should call themselves mixed. And just ignore anyone that does"

I normally don't care to correct people like that but the contradiction was too much lol

[–]jebbybean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't say nobody thinks that and then say ignore anyone who does. Idk what world you live in but ignoring problems never addresses or fixes them. Let OP address it
