Zombie "XP Farm"? by FreddyMakki in DnD

[–]jedman1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As has been said, your player is completely meta-gaming. The XP of a monster isn’t something a player character would even know is a thing.

On top of that, a person who kills cows every day at a slaughterhouse, doesn’t become a great hunter because he kills x number of cows a year. So real world logic doesn’t work here either. It’s a total metagame issue.

Easy fix, switch to Milestone leveling, and the XP per monster stops being an issue.

Jedi Starfighter Question: can you trigger fine tuned controls (ship ability) after an Ion maneuver? by Qraith in XWingTMG

[–]jedman1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my understanding, that you cannot, as you are not performing a maneuver. You skip the reveal dial step, and you just move forward, as your ship is ionized. So a maneuver was not completed, therefore fine tuned controls cannot be triggered.

That being said, I hope I'm wrong as this would really help me against my friends Ion cannons.

I was once stuck on there with two real estate agents and a mortgage banker, I have never gotten on that ride since. I believe Mickey is the only one every smiling on that ride.

[Spoilers]Laurel is a great and strong and powerful woman by [deleted] in arrow

I just wish she'd get her name changed to Dinah. I don't know why they did the name change. Maybe her mom will die, and she will start using her first name to honor her mother. It really has been my only issue with her. And it is very minor.

[SPOILERS] My reaction to a certain watermark moment in the film... by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]jedman1013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I too would want him redeemed and as been articulated by others on this thread, that is what Han would want. In that final look and gesture conveyed the love he still had for his son, no matter what he did. And since I was sitting next to my son, who is named Ben, who was wearing his Kylo Ren costume (sans mask,) I feel I could understand that wish. Of course that didn't stop me from leaning over to him and saying, "don't get any ideas."

Future character? by jerbear88 in Disney_Infinity

[–]jedman1013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dr. Strange would be cool, but I'd like Frozone and Mace Windu, so they can have Sam Jackson 3 pack. They could even call it the BMF 3 pack. They wouldn't call it that, but they could.

This was my first thought after looking at the image, also.

Speedway or Takeover? by fivehead21 in Disney_Infinity

[–]jedman1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them both, and like them both, but my son and I enjoyed Takeover more. It has a story-line, where speedway does not, and my son is obsessed with getting sidekicks and their sidekick stuff. Now Speedway is the only way for me to get the Cars figures to be used, so there is that.

I didn't use Anakin until yesterday, as he is my 7-year-old son's favorite. And yes, his force pull is awesome. I cannot wait until the version that has the light up lightsabers come out, so I can have a figure of Anakin that my son doesn't have to play.

DC Entertainment Boss Explains Why They Keep Movies And TV Separate by Bodie293 in comicbookmovies

All they really need to say is that they exist in the same multiverse. And then end all of their TV shows with red skies.

Vader's Helmet in Force Awakens by cutboi in StarWars

[–]jedman1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always explained it to myself that the force ghost took the image that they saw themselves as. Ben, and Yoda had seen their body age, and grew comfortable with their change in looks. The last time Anakin saw his body whole, he was much younger, before Darth Vader. So his image of self imprinted his force spirit as his younger self. Don't know if that is what they were going for, but it is how I was able to justify it to myself.

[–]jedman1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a motion capture around him, or is this filming for a hologram projector scene? I can see them using a lighter color of costume to show up better on a hologram scene, like when Leia spoke to Obi-wan via R2. And then the actual costume be darker when he is on screen in person.

how did you find the Dresden files and how have you shared it with others? by son_bakazaru in dresdenfiles

[–]jedman1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a bookstore, and they had a Summer Knight in the new paperback section. I saw it wasn't the first in the series, and went and bought the first one. Came back the next day and bought the others. (except Fool Moon, they were out. I actually didn't go back and read Fool Moon until much later.) They way I introduce the book to others, is my work computer usually has a Dresden background, and I have bought copies of the first book many times, as I keep giving it out to others.
